Athletics:

  • This coming Friday we will be having our year end Athletics Banquet at 6:30 in the gym. This is an opportunity to celebrate the year’s success in athletics as well as present team and major awards. It is a semi-formal event, and no tickets are required as this was included in your athletic fee. We hope to see all of our athletes there!

Graduation:

  • Attention Grads!  This Friday will be a gray and burgundy theme day for grads only – AND at 3:00 all grads will head to the cafeteria for our final countdown on your last day of classes!
  • Any graduates who haven’t yet filled in their green transcript form should do so in Student Services, before finishing for the year.  All universities and colleges will require final marks from June.
  • Prom bracelets are on sale this week in the library for $15.  They will be available in the morning, between breaks and after school. Do not come at lunch or in the middle of class to get them.  After the 7th, they will still be available, but the price goes up to $20.  If you are a grad, you must sign for your own bracelet.
  • There will be a Safe Grad meeting for all Grade 10/11 students interested in helping in room 139 today at lunch.

Meetings:

  • There will be a student council meeting on Friday at 11:50 in Room 214 for new executive applicants who are undergoing the apprentice process.
  • There will be a Final Transit Project Meeting for the participating students  In computer Room 103 at noon on Thurs. PLEASE BRING YOUR BUS PASS books. You will be doing a survey as well as receiving your volunteer hours.

Notes:

  • Important note regarding the cafeteria:  The last for the cafeteria to be open for service is Friday, June 7th.  Please note that no food will be served next week during exams as most students leave at lunch time.
  • Attention all incoming Grade 11 IB Students: please go to the library and sign out your summer reading for English.  These two books should be read before you return in the fall.
  • Ever had a relationship that ended badly?  Ever been dumped through SnapChat?  Either way, there will be a performance of the “Worst Break-ups In History” in the Lecture Theatre at 7 pm this Thursday.  Admission is free and you’re guaranteed to laugh with 14 different skits!
  • Students, as this is the last week of classes, you are reminded that you have to clean out your lockers.  All items are to be removed from your lockers. LOCKS are to be labelled and returned to your BLOCK A teacher from FIRST semester. Students new to the school this semester or who did not have a course block A, can return the lock to their current block A teacher. If you have questions, please ask your Block A teacher. A $10 fee is added to your school cash account for locks not returned.
  • Reminder to all students who were involved in We Will Rock You, that there will be a DVD screening today after school in the band room.
  • Come to the last Space Disco of the year Friday at lunch in room 244. This week’s theme: School’s Out!
