  • Speedball tomorrow at lunch: Speed Demons vs The swimmers and The Squires vs Dimes


  • The Red Cross Club will be meeting in Mrs. Chappell’s room 202 to start making crafts for the float today. Regular meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 117!
  • The first lunch meeting for the Strive program will be on Wednesday, November 20th at noon in room 139. Please let Mrs. McCabe know if you are not able to attend.


  • Children’s Wish Wednesday is Jersey Day & speedball in the gym at lunch! We will go around to classes during block A to collect donations.
  • The music department will be selling fudge all week long in the main foyer, $3 a sleeve!
  • Interested in Human Rights? There is an opportunity to have 2 students from Colonel Gray attend a session in early December to celebrate Human Rights Day. If interested, see Ms.Lecours for more details or leave your name in the main office and she will get back to you.
  • Nov 21st at lunch hour Heckbert’s will be in the cafeteria to take orders for any students who might want photo packages for the holidays.
  • Students who got their pictures taken on the retake day should be getting proofs in Block A this week.
    Ordering photos on line are very easy! If this is not possible for you, hard copy orders need to be returned to the school by this Friday, November 22nd.
  • Attention Colonels! Do you need help with math or science? Come to the Math and Science Help Centre at the Library during lunches. We will be open to all students every day.
  • It’s day 2 of our Occupational Health and Safety Trivia! Today’s question is….what is the #1 hazard  causing injury to workers? Is it…(a) working at heights (b) operating motor vehicles or mobile equipment (c) heavy lifting. Put your answer in the box in student services or dm it to @ohs_colonels on Instagram. Congratulations to Haley McKenna for winning yesterday’s trivia question! The answer was the employer is most responsible for keeping the workplace safe.

Student Services:

  • Mid-semester report cards will be sent home with students on Wednesday. Please keep these in a safe place and do not discard them. In the future, report cards may be required for attendance verification, immigration documentation or unofficial marks for university applications or when applying for scholarships and bursaries.

  • On Thursday, Acadia University will be visiting Student Services at lunch, and Memorial University after school.  

Teachers, today is a supervision day 1.
