Athletics:

  • In soccer semi-finals last night, our AAA men defeated Rural in a close 1-0 game. Scoring for the Colonels was Amina Niyubushbozi. The boys will play in the gold medal game on Saturday, at 3pm at the Cornwall turf. No practice today, but mandatory training tomorrow at 3:30 at Colonel Gray field.
  • Our “AAA” women lost to Rural 1-0, so will play in the bronze medal game on Friday at 6:45, Cornwall turf.
  • Both of our volleyball teams defeated Westisle on the road last night in their last regular season game.
  • Women’s Field Hockey and “A” Men’s Soccer teams, please return your uniforms to the Phys. Ed department by tomorrow or the cost of the uniform will be charged to your account.

Meetings:

  • Making Waves is having a meeting today at 11:40 in the Lecture Theatre.

Notes:

  • A reminder that the drafting test re-write will take place at 11:45 in Ms Bovairds room at lunch today.
  • Duke of Edinburgh reports are now overdue. To have this section of the award approved, you need to submit these reports ASAP. See Mrs. Lee in Room 140 or refer to the google classroom for further instruction.
  • Today at lunch there will be a bake sale held in the front lobby. All proceeds of the bake sale will go towards Christmas baskets filled with food and toys for the less fortunate children in Peru. Come help out with this great cause and buy some treats!

Student Services:

  • Colonel Gray students interested in an international student exchange for the 2020/2021 school year should attend the Rotary information meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at Charlottetown Rural Lecture Theatre at 7 p.m. At least one parent should accompany you at this meeting.

  • Monday, Nov. 4 Carleton University from Ontario, will be visiting Student Services at lunch time, University of New Brunswick on Nov. 5 and St. Mary’s University on Nov. 7. St. Mary’s will be waiving their normal application fee, at this time. Also, after school on Nov. 7, University of Toronto will be in Lab 153 for any students interested.

  • Students who ordered transcripts for UPEI and Holland College’s open houses, with free application fee on Nov. 8th, can pick up transcripts on Wednesday in Student Services at $2 each. Reminder to also take a copy of your timetables, as they will need a list of courses you are in now, as well as what you are taking Second Semester.  Students should register on-line before both open houses, so that UPEI and Holland College know you are coming, and which program you are looking at.

Teachers, today is a supervision day 3.
