  • October 3rd.  SoPa Masterclass with the Jazz Class.
  • Craft Fair Parent Meeting – in the band room.  October 4th, 6-7pm.
  • November 14th, CBC interview for Craft fair.
  • November 15 at 7pm, The Gr. 11/12 band will perform at the Homburg Theatre as guests of the outstanding UPEI Wind Symphony, under the direction of Dr. K. Simon.
  • November 19th, 330-5pm. Senior Jazz playing at Sobey’s on Allen Street to promote Craft Fair.
  • November 21st.  Senior Jazz travels to Bluefield to perform.
  • November 23 and 24, Christmas Craft Fair.
  • December 12th (Wednesday), Christmas Concert.
  • Next Tuesday, February 19th, the Colonel Gray Music department will be hosting Dr. James Kalyn and Dr. Dale Sorensen clinics by both renowned professors.

  • May 17-19, band trip.
  • May 30th, final concert.  The Little Big Band, Gr. 10 band, Senior Jazz Band, and the Gr. 11/12 Concert Band.
  • March 5-6, PEI Band Days
  • The Charlottetown Jazz Ensemble will join forces with the Colonel Gray Senior Jazz Band on January 15 at Colonel Gray’s newly-refurbished Lecture Theatre. The two groups will each perform a set of tunes featuring guest artists from each other’s bands. Music starts at 7 pm with admission by donation. Proceeds will support awards to music students. Charlottetown Jazz Ensemble has been performing since 1996. The band features a mix of veteran and up-and-coming PEI jazz musicians including several former members of Colonel Gray Senior Jazz Band.


  • February 22nd, Prof. Paul Tynan from St. Fx University will be here to give a clinic.
  • March 5th, the Atlantic String Machine will be here to play for us. They are sponsored by the PEI Symphony Orchestra, and they are performing for us thanks to an award-winning poem done by our very own: Madison Lockman. Way to go!
  • March 7th, the Prince Edward Island Regiment Band will be here to talk about employment opportunities for young musicians. 930am.
  • March 14th – The Colonel Gray Senior Concert Band (Gr. 11/12) and the Grade 10 band will both be performing at the PEI Band Days this year at the Delta on Wednesday, March 14th.  The Grade 10s play 2:30 – 3:05 and the Grade 11/12s play from 3:40 until 4:15.  These performance are open to the public.
  • Reminder of the concert this Thursday, April 19th, in the lecture theatre at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. The following bands are playing: Little Big Band, R and B Band, 9 O’clock Lab Band, Senior Jazz Band.
  • April 26/27th, the Grade 10s and Senior Jazz will be travelling to Halifax, NS.
  • May 5th, the R and B Band will perform at the PEI Rock Showcase.
  • May 11/15, the Grade 11/12s will be traveling to Montreal and Quebec City.
  • May 24, the Final Concert. 7pm.
