  • No Terry Fox Meeting today but a very important one tomorrow in room 139 at 11:40, as stations for the Run/Walk will be assigned. Today’s Terry Fox trivia question is: How old was Terry Fox when he got his diagnosis? (Please come to Student Services and submit your answer).
  • There will be an open Student Council meeting on Tuesday during lunch in Room 214.  Please join us to discuss & brainstorm upcoming events or to voice your opinion on school issues. Getting involved is one way you can help make our school the best it can be.
  • Students traveling to Rome and Athens on March Break are reminded of the planning meeting Tuesday at 7pm in room 141. Please see Mr. MacDonald if you have any questions.
  • The Red Cross Club will be having their meeting on Wednesday in room 117.


  • Anyone interested in learning about wildlife, forestry & nature and participate in some fun outdoor activities, join the Envirothon club. The envirothon competition is coming soon. Great prizes to win and a chance to go to Nebraska for the finals. A short meeting tomorrow during lunch at 11.45 at Rm 152. For more details talk to Ms Suba or Mr Sealey.
  • Student Council is looking for grade 10 representatives to serve on the executive.  Interested candidates can pick up an application on the student council office door, or from Mrs. Charlton in Room 214.  Applications are due by 3:10 on Thursday, October 3rd.
  • Do you care about making the world more energy efficient? Are you someone who wants to make Colonel Gray an environmentally friendly building? Maybe you should join Colonel Gray’s new Environmental Club! Next Wednesday they are having their very first meeting in room 330, (that’s Art Room) and all are welcome.
  • The Workers Compensation Board of PEI is seeking high school students (two per school) to become Occupational Health and Safety leaders. Upon successful completion of the program, the team of 2 people will be awarded $500 each ($1,000 per team).  Application deadline is Oct. 4.
  • Any Grade 11 or 12 honors students, interested in public affairs, are encouraged to find out more about being a Legislative Assembly Page.  It involves 5-8 hours per week, pays $15.83 per hour, plus round trip mileage.  Deadline is Oct. 2.
  • Attention Grade 12 students – on Wednesday, Sept. 25, St. Thomas University will be visiting Student Services at lunch time, and University of Calgary after school.
  • The Red Cross Club will be having a bake sale Tuesday-Thursday in the main lobby. All proceeds go to the Terry Fox Foundation. Come and satisfy your sweet tooth.
  • Reminder that the Terry Fox Run is this Thursday at 2:30
