Athletics:

  • Men’s volleyball hosts Westisle in a 1/4 final tonight at 6.
  • There will be open gym for women’s basketball tonight from 8-930.
  • Over the weekend our two “AAA” soccer teams finished out their season. Our women’s team won the bronze in overtime on Friday night against Bluefield.  In the championship game on Saturday, our men lost a heartbreaker to Bluefield 3-1. The game was tied until the final minutes of the game. Congratulations to both teams for a great season and thank you to our coaches for their time and effort this fall.
  • Reminder!!! Field Hockey and soccer players, please return your jersey to Mrs. Lindsay as soon as possible.

Meetings:

  • Are you interested in the polar expressions writing contest? Come to the Youth for Youth club meeting tomorrow to know more about it!
  • Are you skilled at graphic designing? The Youth for Youth Club executive team is looking for any awesome designers to help out! If you are interested, come to the meeting on Tuesday at lunch in room 139!
  • Key Club is meeting in room 140 today at lunch.
  • The Red Cross Club is meeting today and tomorrow.

Notes:

  • Special thank you to custodians Chad and Joanne who came in on Saturday to install the flags in the cafeteria. If you haven’t seen them yet, please check them out! And come celebrate this project with your fellow Colonels at the International Coffeehouse on November 27th. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks on this amazing event!
  • If you happen to notice that your birthplace country is MISSING on the ceiling of the cafeteria, please see Mrs. Lee in Room 140 TODAY. We can hopefully install your flag before the lift is returned. So it is important to see Mrs. Lee in room 140 today to let her know.
  • Congratulations to our Envirothon team !!!- Destiny Fraser, Vee Chatterjee, Aiyana Pritchard, Riddhima Upreti. They came 3rd in the Forestry; 4th in Wildlife Category. The team finished 4th place overall in the 2019 Provincial Envirothon competition. 

  • The International Coffeehouse committee is holding auditions. Do you have a special talent you would like to share?  Can you sing, dance, play an instrument? Come to the Youth for Youth meeting in room 139 on tomorrow at lunch to find out more!
  • Thursday morning at 9:00 am, poppies will be distributed to all students. KEY Club will also collect donations for the Legion Poppy Campaign at this time. Be sure to bring some change and support our veterans!
  • Duke of Edinburgh reports are now overdue. To have this section of the award approved, you need to submit these reports ASAP. See Mrs. Lee in Room 140 or refer to the google classroom for further instruction.
  • The Colonel Gray Terry Fox Run raised over $6500 this year!
    Thanks to all the teachers, staff, TF Committe Members, Tim Keizer, The Key Club and fund raising students for their wonderful support.

Student Services:

  • Colonel Gray students interested in an international student exchange for the 2020/2021 school year should attend the Rotary information meeting tomorrow at the Charlottetown Rural Lecture Theatre at 7 p.m. At least one parent should accompany you at this meeting.

  • Carleton University, from Ontario, will be set up outside Student Services over lunch time today for any students interested. University of New Brunswick tomorrow and St. Mary’s University on Thursday. St. Mary’s will be waiving their normal application fee, at this time. Also, after school on Thursday, University of Toronto will be in Lab 153 for any students interested.

Teachers, today is a supervision day 6.
