Athletics:

  • “AA” Men travel to Morell today for their last regular season game before play-offs. Good luck Colonels!

  • Could the following students please see Mrs. Lindsay or Ms. Currie in the gym at lunchtime today: Ava Rashed, Lily Rashed, Sasha Hazel, Gracie Halliwell, Tobias Hood, Gracie McQuaid, Aiden Beazley, Emma Mayne, Destiny Fraser, Debby Ige, Rachel MacKay.

  • Any students interested in being trained to be a volleyball official, there will be a FREE training clinic on March 7th. Please see Mrs. Lindsay for more information.

Meetings: 

  • The Debate Club will meet today after school this week to prepare for our upcoming competition this weekend.
  • The Red Cross Club will be having a brief meeting today at lunch in room 117.

Notes:

  • Trivia question! Which teacher hosted an HGTV show called Scrapbook Studio? Come to the Kahoot tournament next Wednesday from 7-9pm to find out!
  • Just a reminder to all students and staff that we still need to remain a peanut free as we have students with life-threatening conditions. Remember: One voice, one team! We want everyone to feel and be safe and everyone needs to pitch in!
  • All grade 12 French Immersion students interested in participating in the DELF must register as soon as possible. The registration is done online only and you have until Feb 28th to do so. The list must be finalized quickly

Student Services:

  • Come to the Atlantic Veterinary College this summer for an interactive, fun, and engaging venture into the world of veterinary medicine! At this AVC Camp, participants will learn about animals and meet others who share their love of animals. Deadline to apply is March 13th.

    Senior camps (grades 10–12) take place from July 20-24 and July 27-31. For more information see Mr. Cox in Student Services.

  • For the Community Service Bursary Program and/or Duke of Edinburgh Program:
    The Charlottetown Naiads synchronized swimming club is looking for male and female volunteers to assist with its recreational program for children aged 4-12 years. Synchro experience not required but should have Bronze Medallion certification. Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, 6:00-7:00pm at the Bell Aliant Centre (formerly CARI) pool. Meeting will be today in room 140 at lunch. The meeting will be brief. Following the meeting, Mrs. Lee will be available for individual questions about logging. Please be sure to attend.

  • The Key Club will be holding a cake auction today in the cafeteria.
  • The Red Cross Club will be selling Valentine’s Day candygrams this week until tomorrow in the lobby.
  • There is no Debate Club today. We will meet next week, forms and fees still need to be given to Mr. MacCormack.

Notes:

  • In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, student council is encouraging people to wear red, pink or white on Friday. If you want to spread some love, add a post it message to the windows in the front lobby, or take a picture in the photo booth in the upstairs of the lobby, and post it to Insta or Snap. All happening Friday.
