Athletics:

  • “A” men’s soccer tryouts today after school at 330 “AAA” men’s soccer practice is at co-op today after school
  • All athletes are reminded to have permission forms and athletic fees in by the first game.
  • Any students interested in being a minor official for volleyball, please see Mrs Lindsay.
  • Tonight is Colonel Gray night at UPEI athletics. Students, staff & their families are invited to attend men’s hockey at 7pm, women’s soccer at 5, and/or men’s soccer at 7:15. Wear Colonel Gray clothing, show your student ID or identify yourselves as belonging with Colonel Gray to receive free admission. Hope to see lots of Colonels in the stands! N

Notes:

  • Any grade 12 student who has decided to drop a course to take a study period, please let an administrator know so that the study period can be  added to your schedule.  This is particularly important when it’s time for transcripts.
  • The Privateers Football Club are seeking new players to join our 2019 Tackle team! Athletes in Grades 10 through 12 are encouraged to meet us at the Longworth Football Field near Pizza Delight 1911 location on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 5PM to 7PM. The season starts now!
  • Those interested in doing some volunteering  in the library or working towards their Coles Scholarship there will be a meeting in the Library today at 12 in room 112.
  • Anyone interested in joining the Colonel Gray Film Making Club should go to room 103 today at lunch. Film Making Club is a great chance for anyone interested in making videos films or movies to learn the basics, and hopefully get some hands on experience. All welcome. See Mr. Weale for more details.

Athletics:

  • AAA Men’s Soccer will have their final try out today at 3:30 at Co-Op field. A Men’s soccer will have their first try out today at 3:30 at Colonel Gray field.
  • Athletes traveling this weekend are reminded that in order to go their permission fees and athletic fees need to be paid. Any issues, please see Mrs. Lindsay.

Athletics:

  • Men’s soccer 330-530. Men’s volleyball 330-5. Women’s volleyball 5-630. There will be tryouts for the “A” men’s soccer team tomorrow after school at 3:30.
  • There will be a meeting for all those interested in playing baseball this year at noon in room 216. If you are unable to make it please let Mr. Arsenault or Mr. Gregory know.
  • There will be a field hockey meeting today at lunch in the gym.
  • Any questions please check in with the Phys Ed department. The wellness center will be open at lunch today. Reminder to use the wellness center and gym at lunch you must change your clothes, have indoor sneakers and no food or drink. Thank you for your cooperation with this!
  • Today at lunch there will be a mini-dodgeball tournament in the gym at lunch. Members of the UPEI men and women’s hockey team will be here to play with students.

Meetings:

  • The cafeteria will be open today, however the food selection will be minimal. The steam table won’t be open but there will be some hot food items available.
  • Due to the limited amount in the cafeteria cash register float, the cafeteria will not be accepting $50 or $100 bills. Small denominations ($20 or less) will only be accepted.

2019 Grads

  • Reminders for Grads!!!
  • Your school fees need to be paid in full before you can be fitted for your gown on June 20.
  • Any graduates who haven’t yet filled in their green transcript form should do so in Student Services, before finishing for the year. All universities and colleges will require final marks from June.

Athletics:

  • Congrats to the Gray Girls Softball team that won the Silver Metal yesterday in the Provincials. Great job by everyone. All of the girls played great, players are reminded to drop their ball jerseys off to coach Gordie in Student Services on Friday.
  • Friday we will be having our year end Athletics Banquet at 6:30 in the gym. This is an opportunity to celebrate the year’s success in athletics as well as present team and major awards. It is a semi-formal event, and no tickets are required as this was included in your athletic fee. We hope to see all of our athletes there!

Band:

  • Today in the band room at lunch the Band-minton finals will continue. Come and cheer on one of the 3 finalist teams in their most important games yet! Uhhh Luke vs The Matts followed by the loser bracket final game featuring Refuse to Lose. The championships will take place on Friday, come to see who will be the champions!

Graduation:

  • Attention Grads!  This Friday will be a gray and burgundy theme day for grads only – AND at 3:00 all grads will head to the cafeteria for our final countdown on your last day of classes!
  • Any graduates who haven’t yet filled in their green transcript form should do so in Student Services, before finishing for the year. All universities and colleges will require final marks from June.
  • Prom tickets will be available in the library today BUT Friday will  ONLY be available from Mrs. Costello in Rm 144 at the same times: before and after school and between classes.

Meetings:

  • There will be a student council meeting on Friday at 11:50 in Room 214 for new executive applicants who are undergoing the apprentice process.
  • There will be a Final Transit Project Meeting for the participating students in computer room 103 at noon today. PLEASE BRING YOUR BUS PASS books. You will be doing a survey as well as receiving your volunteer hours.

Notes:

  • Reminder!!! Tomorrow is last day for the cafeteria to be open for service. Please note that no food will be served next week during exams as most students leave at lunch time.
  • Attention all incoming Grade 11 IB Students: please go to the library and sign out your summer reading for English. These two books should be read before you return in the fall. 
  • Ever had a relationship that ended badly?  Ever been dumped through SnapChat?  Either way, there will be a performance of the “Worst Break-ups In History” in the Lecture Theatre at 7 pm tonight.  Admission is free and you’re guaranteed to laugh with 14 different skits!
  • Students, as we only have two days of classes left, you are reminded that you have to clean out your lockers.  All items are to be removed from your lockers. LOCKS are to be labelled and returned to your BLOCK A teacher from FIRST semester. Students new to the school this semester or who did not have a course block A, can return the lock to their current block A teacher. If you have questions, please ask your Block A teacher. A $10 fee is added to your school cash account for locks not returned.
  • Come to the last Space Disco of the year tomorrow at lunch in room 244. This week’s theme: School’s Out!

  • This coming Friday we will be having our year end Athletics Banquet at 6:30 in the gym. This is an opportunity to celebrate the year’s success in athletics as well as present team and major awards. It is a semi-formal event, and no tickets are required as this was included in your athletic fee. We hope to see all of our athletes there!

Athletics:

  • Grayfit is cancelled today…..go cheer on our rugby teams at UPEI.

  • Today at lunch there will be more Band-minton games in the band room. The games will be Koka-cols vs The Slippy knees and the very first finalist game featuring Refuse to Lose. Come out to support your favorite team for these close championship games!
