  • Feel like singing? Feel like watching someone else sing? Then come on down to the Lecture Theatre at lunch for Epic Karaoke! Today’s special guest is DJ Kryptic from Summerside. Woot Woot Woot!
  • Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cornwall is hosting its annual prom dress giveaway on Tuesday March 17th from 6:00-8:30. Any students in need of a prom dress are invited to stop by and look through the hundreds of dresses and sizes they have to give away!
  • Students are reminded to clean out your locker before leaving today, clothes that need to be washed, old lunches etc.
  • Come to Space Disco today at lunch in room 244. This weeks theme: Mystery guest!

Athletics:

  • “AAA” Women will play Bluefield for bronze at 2pm
    “AAA” Men will play Westisle for bronze at 4 pm
    Both games will be at Holland College.
  • Rugby today: Women at 330-530, men 530-730. Badminton 730-930. All are welcome!
  • ALL basketball players must return their uniforms by Friday at the latest.

Meetings: 

  • The Philosophy Club will meet today at 11:45 in room 141.

  • Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cornwall is hosting its annual prom dress giveaway on Tuesday March 17th from 6:00-8:30. Any students in need of a prom dress are invited to stop by and look through the hundreds of dresses and sizes they have to give away!
  • Congratulations to our school Poetry in Voice champions: Destiny Fraser in the English stream and Jean Francois Kayigi in the Bilingual stream. They are now competing in on-line semifinals. Good luck Destiny & Jean Francois!

Athletics:

  • We would like to wish our Powerlifting team good luck today at the provincials.
  • Our “AAA” basketball teams will be participating in semi-final games today at UPEI. The women will take on TOSH at 5pm while the men will take on Rural at 7pm. Reminder that there is a $5 admission fee for adults, and a $2 admission fee for students.
  • Badminton will begin this week as well, with training happening today at 330-530 and Friday 330-530.
  • ALL basketball players must return their uniforms by Friday at the latest.

  • There will be a Red Cross Club meeting today in room 117.

  • Any grade 12 students interested in writing Waterloo’s Euclid math contest can sign up in their math class, or see Mr. MacEwen in room 244.
  • Are you a student who is interested in learning basic guitar. You don’t even have to own a guitar. There will be a Guitar club running on Wednesdays at 11:45 to 12:15, starting after the March Break. Please see Mr. Cox asap if interested.

Athletics:

  • ALL basketball players must return their uniforms by Friday at the latest.
  • Our “AAA” basketball teams will be participating in semi-final games today at UPEI. The women will take on TOSH at 6pm while the men will take on Rural at 8pm. Reminder that there is a $5 admission fee for adults, and a $2 admission fee for students.

  • There is a meeting today after school in the art room for those in the Environmental Club. The group is about to start up a better recycling system at Colonel Gray, and they are looking for any students who is willing to donate an hour of their time to help with the cause. All are welcome. Come to room 330 today at 3:15.

Athletics:

  • Congratulations to our “A” women’s basketball team who finished their season with silver medals on Friday. The girls played a close game against Kinkora, but unfortunately lost 51-30. Thank you to coaches Bob Knudson, Mike Smith & Erin Costello for a great season!
  • “AA” Men and “A” Women are reminded to bring in their uniforms to Mrs. Lindsay asap. ALL uniforms for ALL teams are due by this Friday.
  • Rugby and Badminton try outs will begin this week, listen to the announcements and check the schedule in the gym for more information.
  • First rugby practice for the boys will be tomorrow at 3:30.

Meetings: 

  • There will be a meeting after school tomorrow in the art room for all those looking to start up a recycling program. Many hands make light work, so come one, come all!

Athletics:

  • “AAA” Semi-Finals will now be held next Tuesday, March 10th at UPEI. The medal games will take place the following day, also at UPEI.
  • Last night our “A” Women defeated Souris 46-41 in their semi-final to advance to the gold medal game tomorrow at Holland College. Game time is 6pm- come on out and support your Colonels! There will be a $5 admission fee for adults and a $2 admission fee for students. This also applies to games at UPEI next week.

Meetings: 

  • The Philosophy Club will meet today at lunch. Come help us search for the truth.

  • Free the Children’s will be selling tickets for Kahoot Night today at lunch for Colonel Gray students only. If you don’t get a ticket today Colonel Gray students can purchase one at the door for $10. Also note: all students must bring their student ID card tonight.

Athletics:

  • Our “AA” men finished their season last night with a heartbreaking loss to Bluefield 77-74. It was a very exciting game to watch and congratulations to the team for all of their efforts this season. Huge thank you to coaches Shawn Winslow, Neil Toombs & Max Ramsay. Players are reminded to bring their uniforms in to Mrs Lindsay by Friday.
  • A Big Congratulations to Logan Robbins-Ambassador for Special Olympic Team PEI!!! Logan is back from Thunder Bay Ontario with two medals! Logan won gold in the two lap speed skating entry and also the bronze in the 3 lap speed skating event. Logan would like to thank all his sponsors and was excited to  be a part of the Special Olympics. GO PEI!

  • For the Community Service Bursary Program and/or Duke of Edinburgh Program:
    The Charlottetown Naiads synchronized swimming club is looking for male and female volunteers to assist with its recreational program for children aged 4-12 years. Synchro experience not required but should have Bronze Medallion certification. Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, 6:00-7:00pm at the Bell Aliant Centre (formerly CARI) pool.   • Free the Children will be holding trivia night next Wednesday, March 4th from 7-9 in the cafeteria. Today’s question: Which staff member has been accidentally shot before? Come to trivia night to find out!
  • All grade 12 French Immersion students interested in participating in the DELF must register as soon as possible. The registration is done online only and you have until Feb 28th to do so. The list must be finalized quickly

Student Services:

  • Come to the Atlantic Veterinary College this summer for an interactive, fun, and engaging venture into the world of veterinary medicine! At this AVC Camp, participants will learn about animals and meet others who share their love of animals. Deadline to apply is March 13th.

    Senior camps (grades 10–12) take place from July 20-24 and July 27-31. For more information see Mr. Cox in Student Services.
