Notes:

  • West Kent School has students from K-6 with varying special needs and mobility constraints, though their current playground does not accommodate this. The school and its community have been raising funds over the past two years to ensure the school playground is inclusive for all students. Some Colonel Gray students have thus taken the initiative to aid in fundraising efforts, in whatever way possible. On Tuesday, November 17th, at the beginning of Block B, this group will be holding a “Sugar Rush”. This is basically a miracle minute and bake sale combined. Volunteers will be wearing a mask and gloves and will hand the items out and will be located in each hallway with a bucket for donations, and an assortment of baked goods. After the “Sugar Rush” begins, students must rush to the nearest volunteer if they wish to purchase any treats, which will be priced at two dollars each. This will take place for three minutes, following. We hope to see everyone prepared with their toonies next Tuesday, in order to support this important cause. Please note that students must wear their masks to participate, not create a crowd around the mini bake sale (distance from each other) and then rush back to class.
