Athletics:

  • Any students interested in being trained to be a volleyball official, there will be a FREE training clinic on March 7th. Please see Mrs. Lindsay for more information.

  • Free the Children will be holding trivia night next Wednesday, March 4th from 7-9 in the cafeteria. Today’s question: Which staff member has been accidentally shot before? Come to trivia night to find out!
  • All grade 12 French Immersion students interested in participating in the DELF must register as soon as possible. The registration is done online only and you have until Feb 28th to do so. The list must be finalized quickly

Student Services:

  • Come to the Atlantic Veterinary College this summer for an interactive, fun, and engaging venture into the world of veterinary medicine! At this AVC Camp, participants will learn about animals and meet others who share their love of animals. Deadline to apply is March 13th.

    Senior camps (grades 10–12) take place from July 20-24 and July 27-31. For more information see Mr. Cox in Student Services.

Athletics:

  • “AA” Men travel to Morell today for their last regular season game before play-offs. Good luck Colonels!

  • Could the following students please see Mrs. Lindsay or Ms. Currie in the gym at lunchtime today: Ava Rashed, Lily Rashed, Sasha Hazel, Gracie Halliwell, Tobias Hood, Gracie McQuaid, Aiden Beazley, Emma Mayne, Destiny Fraser, Debby Ige, Rachel MacKay.

  • Trivia question! Which teacher hosted an HGTV show called Scrapbook Studio? Come to the Kahoot tournament next Wednesday from 7-9pm to find out!
  • Just a reminder to all students and staff that we still need to remain a peanut free as we have students with life-threatening conditions. Remember: One voice, one team! We want everyone to feel and be safe and everyone needs to pitch in!

  • Friendly reminder that there is absolutely no food or drink in the gym at lunchtime. To participate in the gym you must also be changed and have clean, indoor shoes. Failure to cooperate with these rules will result in banishment from the gym!!

  • Today in athletics: “A” Women host Souris at 5:30, “AA” Men host Souris at 7:15.  There is no “AAA” men’s practice today.

  • For the Community Service Bursary Program and/or Duke of Edinburgh Program:
    The Charlottetown Naiads synchronized swimming club is looking for male and female volunteers to assist with its recreational program for children aged 4-12 years. Synchro experience not required but should have Bronze Medallion certification. Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, 6:00-7:00pm at the Bell Aliant Centre (formerly CARI) pool.   • The Occupational Health & Safety Team is holding an event today at lunch in the lobby! Stop by to win some prizes!
  • Important Duke of E meeting for ALL Bronze, Silver and Gold Candidates who hope to complete the current level and attend the awards ceremony this spring. Meeting will be today in room 140 at lunch. The meeting will be brief. Following the meeting, Mrs. Lee will be available for individual questions about logging. Please be sure to attend.

Student Services:

Meetings:

  • There will be a key club meeting today at lunch in room 140. New members welcome.
  • STRIVE meeting will be held on Wednesday at lunch in room 139. Please let Ms. McCabe know if you aren’t able to attend.
  • Students interested in traveling to Paris and Barcelona next year during March Break – the parents meeting is tonight at 7pm in room 141. See Mr. MacDonald if you have any questions.

Notes:

Student Services:

  • A representative from UPEI will be at Colonel Gray Wednesday morning, Feb. 19th. Grade 12 students may sign up for individual appointment times on the table in Student Services.  This is a great opportunity to have questions answered on UPEI scholarships and awards, which are due March 1st. 
  • Just a reminder to students who wish to have their official First Semester transcripts sent to universities & colleges, please fill in a transcript request form in Student Services right away. Transcripts are $2 each.
