Athletics:

Meetings:

  • There will be a short Debate Club meeting today at 12:00 in room 151. Please see Mr. MacCormack if you are unable to attend.
  • There will be a Safe Grad meeting on Thursday at lunch in room 139 for anyone interested in helping out this year. 

Notes:

  • The Miracle Minute for Australian Wildfire Relief will happen tomorrow during announcements. Please bring change to support this cause.
  • Attention students who are interested in computer science. There are two opportunities with upcoming deadlines, any student who wants to participate in the Waterloo computer science competition should speak to Mr. MacDougald by Wednesday. There is also a computer science conference for students at Mount Allison University, please see Mr. MacDougald by Monday for more details.

Student Services:

  • The RCMP again is hosting a National Youth Engagement week in late March and one student from PEI will be chosen to go, free of charge. If you are interested please see Mr. Cox in Student Services.
  • Any grade twelve students wishing to meet one-on-one with a UPEI advisor on the afternoon of January 22nd can sign up for a 20-minute session in Student Services. See Mr. Peterson for details.

  • Making Waves meeting today at 11:40 in room 243, be there or else!!.

Notes:

  • Did you know that 5900 buildings, over half of which are personal homes have burned in the Australian wildfires? Please bring change and show your support for the Australian Wildfire Disaster Relief Fund. Miracle Minute happening tomorrow morning.
  • Attention students who are interested in computer science. There are two opportunities with upcoming deadlines, any student who wants to participate in the Waterloo computer science competition should speak to Mr. MacDougald by Wednesday. There is also a computer science conference for students at Mount Allison University, please see Mr. MacDougald by Monday for more details.
  • Student tutors who signed up for the Thursday shift of tutoring have to be at the library at lunch today.
  • The math and science help center is open at lunch in the conference room at the library. Everyone is welcome for math and science related help.

  • Reminder of block meetings today for Peer Helpers at the start of each block.
  • The Red Cross club will be having their regular meeting today in room 117, please come by if you are available!
  • Making Waves will have a meeting tomorrow in room 243 at 11:40.

  • Did you know that 26 million acres of land has burned so far in the Australian Wildfires? Please bring change on Friday and support our fellow world citizens during our Miracle Minute for Australian Wildfire disaster relief.

  • Very important peer helping block meetings on Wednesday at the start of each block.
  • Attention to all those in the Environmental Club, there will be a meeting in the art room at lunch today.

Notes:

  • Did you know that an estimated 1 billion wildlife have died in the Australian Wildfires. Many species are now on the endangered species list and some may be driven to extinction. This Friday we will hold a Miracle Minute during announcements to raise funds to provide support for disaster relief in Australia. Bring your change and help out.
  • Please check the lost and found table in the main lobby, anything not picked up by the end of the day on Wednesday will be donated.
  • Students going on the trip to Italy and Greece are reminded of the meeting this evening in room 141 at 7pm. If you have any questions, please see Mr. MacDonald.
  • Student tutors who signed up for the Tuesday shift of tutoring have to be at the library at lunch today.

Athletics:

  • Congratulations to our AA men’s basketball team who defeated TOSH this weekend to win the Aiden Harrington Memorial Tournament at Kensington High School.
  • Today in athletics our AA teams are hosting Souris with the women at 5:30 and the men at 7:15.
  • Victory Gymnastics is looking for volunteers for an event the weekend of January 31st. If you are looking for service learning or volunteer hours, this may be a great fit for you. Please see Mrs. Lindsay if interested.

Athletics:

  • Charlottetown Ringette is looking for volunteers for this weekends tournament with face painting from 1-4 at The Cari Rink on Saturday.  They are in need for volunteers…if you have an hour or two to spare would be a great help!!! This can be used for your bursary volunteer hours or volunteer hours needed at school. If you are interested please see Mrs. Costello in room 144 as soon as possible to sign up.
  • Victory Gymnastics is looking for volunteers for an event the weekend of January 31st. If you are looking for service learning or volunteer hours, this may be a great fit for you. Please see Mrs. Lindsay if interested.

  • The Math and Science help centre is open at lunch in the conference room at the library. Everyone is welcome for science and math related extra help!

Athletics:

  • Charlottetown Ringette tournament is looking for volunteers this weekend. Please see Mrs. Costello in Room 144 if you are interested in face painting from 1-4 at Cari Rink this coming Saturday. Also, we still need people to do game sheets or Game Clock. If you are interested come see Mrs. Costello as soon as possible to sign up. She can show you the format. This can be used for your bursary volunteer hours or volunteer hours needed at school.
  • Charlottetown Rural is hosting basketball games at Colonel Gray this weekend as part of their Confederation City Classic. They are looking for scorekeepers for the games that are here, please see Mrs. Lindsay if interested!

Athletics:

  • AAA men and women’s basketball are at TOSH today, bus will leave at 3:45. AA men host TOSH at 7:15. AA women practice at 3:30.
  • Charlottetown Rural is hosting basketball games at Colonel Gray this weekend as part of their Confederation City Classic. They are looking for scorekeepers for the games that are here, please see Mrs. Lindsay if interested!
