2019 Grads

  • Reminders for Grads!!!
  • Your school fees need to be paid in full before you can be fitted for your gown on June 20.
  • Any graduates who haven’t yet filled in their green transcript form should do so in Student Services, before finishing for the year. All universities and colleges will require final marks from June.

Athletics:

  • Congrats to the Gray Girls Softball team that won the Silver Metal yesterday in the Provincials. Great job by everyone. All of the girls played great, players are reminded to drop their ball jerseys off to coach Gordie in Student Services on Friday.
  • Friday we will be having our year end Athletics Banquet at 6:30 in the gym. This is an opportunity to celebrate the year’s success in athletics as well as present team and major awards. It is a semi-formal event, and no tickets are required as this was included in your athletic fee. We hope to see all of our athletes there!

Band:

  • Today in the band room at lunch the Band-minton finals will continue. Come and cheer on one of the 3 finalist teams in their most important games yet! Uhhh Luke vs The Matts followed by the loser bracket final game featuring Refuse to Lose. The championships will take place on Friday, come to see who will be the champions!

Graduation:

  • Attention Grads!  This Friday will be a gray and burgundy theme day for grads only – AND at 3:00 all grads will head to the cafeteria for our final countdown on your last day of classes!
  • Any graduates who haven’t yet filled in their green transcript form should do so in Student Services, before finishing for the year. All universities and colleges will require final marks from June.
  • Prom tickets will be available in the library today BUT Friday will  ONLY be available from Mrs. Costello in Rm 144 at the same times: before and after school and between classes.

Meetings:

  • There will be a student council meeting on Friday at 11:50 in Room 214 for new executive applicants who are undergoing the apprentice process.
  • There will be a Final Transit Project Meeting for the participating students in computer room 103 at noon today. PLEASE BRING YOUR BUS PASS books. You will be doing a survey as well as receiving your volunteer hours.

Notes:

  • Reminder!!! Tomorrow is last day for the cafeteria to be open for service. Please note that no food will be served next week during exams as most students leave at lunch time.
  • Attention all incoming Grade 11 IB Students: please go to the library and sign out your summer reading for English. These two books should be read before you return in the fall. 
  • Ever had a relationship that ended badly?  Ever been dumped through SnapChat?  Either way, there will be a performance of the “Worst Break-ups In History” in the Lecture Theatre at 7 pm tonight.  Admission is free and you’re guaranteed to laugh with 14 different skits!
  • Students, as we only have two days of classes left, you are reminded that you have to clean out your lockers.  All items are to be removed from your lockers. LOCKS are to be labelled and returned to your BLOCK A teacher from FIRST semester. Students new to the school this semester or who did not have a course block A, can return the lock to their current block A teacher. If you have questions, please ask your Block A teacher. A $10 fee is added to your school cash account for locks not returned.
  • Come to the last Space Disco of the year tomorrow at lunch in room 244. This week’s theme: School’s Out!

Athletics:

  • This coming Friday we will be having our year end Athletics Banquet at 6:30 in the gym. This is an opportunity to celebrate the year’s success in athletics as well as present team and major awards. It is a semi-formal event, and no tickets are required as this was included in your athletic fee. We hope to see all of our athletes there!

Do not come at lunch or in the middle of class to get them.  After the 7th, they will still be available, but the price goes up to $20.  If you are a grad, you must sign for your own bracelet. 
  • There will be a Safe Grad meeting for all Grade 10/11 students interested in helping in room 139 today at lunch.

Athletics:

  • Grayfit is cancelled today…..go cheer on our rugby teams at UPEI.

Band:

  • Today at lunch there will be more Band-minton games in the band room. The games will be Koka-cols vs The Slippy knees and the very first finalist game featuring Refuse to Lose. Come out to support your favorite team for these close championship games!

Athletics:

  • This weekend was a great one for Colonel Gray Athletics, with Colonel Gray taking home ALL FOUR banners from the provincial track and field meet at UPEI. Multiple provincial records were broken and our athletes had an outstanding showing. Congratulations Colonels.
  • Today in play-off action we have softball 1/4 finals against the Mount at 4:30 at Kiwanis field, while AAA men’s rugby travels to TOSH for a 7 pm start time.
  • This coming Friday we will be having our year end Athletics Banquet at 6:30 in the gym. This is an opportunity to celebrate the year’s success in athletics as well as present team and major awards. It is a semi-formal event, and no tickets are required as this was included in your athletic fee. We hope to see all of our athletes there!

Band:

  • Come and watch the Band-minton games in the bandroom at lunch today! Games will be Uhhh Luke vs Koka-Kola and Les Boys vs Refuse to Lose. Make sure to come watch, what promises to be some of the closet games yet!

Notes:

  • The Colonel Gray winners of the promposal contest are Tom Tao and Phoebe Mitchell.
  • There will be a basketball half court shot competition going on in the gym on today at lunch. Shots cost $2 for one and $5 for three. The winner of the competition will receive a $50 gift card of their choice. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Jumpstart Foundation. Come on out for a great time and to support a great cause!
