Athletics:

  • Badminton practices for “tryouts” all this week, team selection after March Break.  Please see the full schedule on the bulletin board in the gym.
  • There will be a short meeting today at 11:40 in Room 121 for any girls interested in playing rugby this spring.
  • All basketball players are reminded to return their uniforms by Friday to the PE department.

Meetings:

  • There will be a short but important meeting on Wednesday at lunch for all GOLD duke of Edinburgh candidates at 11:40 in room 140. Important paperwork to be given out.

Notes:

  • Grade 12 students interested in writing the Waterloo math contest can sign up in math class, or see Mr. MacEwen in room 244.

Student Services:

  • Over March Break, UPEI is offering first-year students the opportunity to sign up for individual fall and winter courses.   Academic advisors will assist students in the Robertson Library during the following times:  Mar. 18 from 9-12, Mar. 19 from 12-4, Mar. 20 from 9-12 and Mar. 21 from 12-4.  A registration session, with UPEI first-year advisors, will also happen at Colonel Gray High School after break on Mar. 28 at 3:10 p.m. in Lab 153.   Students entering UPEI in September should take advantage of these wonderful opportunities.

Athletics:

  • Badminton tryouts today after school from 330 until 5.
  • Spring league volleyball begins tonight with men and women both practicing from 730 until 9.
  •  There will be a short meeting for any girls interested in playing rugby this year on Tuesday at the beginning of lunch in Room 121.
  • Now that spring tryouts and training sessions are beginning, there will be a weekly schedule posted in the gym on the bulletin board.
  • All basketball players are reminded to return their uniforms as soon as possible to the PE department.

Meetings:

  • Important Key Club Meeting today in room 140! Be sure to attend!

Notes:

  • It is time to register for the DELF.  If you are a grade 12 French Immersion student currently taking a French course, you will register with Ms Soucy.
    If you are not currently in a French course, you will need to go to the following link to register. http://bit.ly/DELFIPE2019  All registrations must be submitted by March 15th but it is highly recommended that you complete your form ASAP.

Athletics:

  • All basketball players are reminded to return their uniforms as soon as possible to the PE department.

Meetings:

  • The debate team will meet in Room 141 for a few minutes at the start of lunch to organize rides to Charlottetown Rural this afternoon.

Notes:

  • It is time to register for the DELF.  If you are a grade 12 French Immersion student currently taking a French course, you will register with Ms Soucy.

  • Friday is International Women’s Day. Wear PURPLE. Take a moment to think about all the great women in this world and take the opportunity to vote for your favorite woman. Go to the library and drop a ballot in the box for your favorite woman and get a treat.
  • Come to Space Disco Friday at lunch in room 244. This weeks theme National Anthems!
  • Attention all Musical Prop and Set painters. Anyone available today can meet in the Art room at lunch for some set painting/construction.

Athletics:

  • Yesterday our two AAA teams captured bronze at UPEI.  The women’s final score against Bluefield was 45-36, with Sydney Strain, Helena Vos & Ruby Sharp leading the scoring.      The men defeated Westisle 72-65, with Ian Kerr, Jeremy Norman, Yahya Sefau and Keegan Carty leading the scoring for the Colonels.
  • Badminton try-outs begin today after school at 330 until 5.
  • Our A men’s basketball team will play Bluefield today at 4pm for the Bronze Medal. The game will be at Holland College. Good luck Colonels!
  • All basketball players are reminded to return their uniforms as soon as possible to the PE department.
  • The women’s rugby meeting scheduled for today has been postponed until next week.
  • Powerlifting team please meet in the gym at lunch.

  • Red Cross Club meeting today at 12pm in room 117.

Athletics:

  • There will be a meeting for any girls interested in playing rugby this season in Room 121 Wednesday at the beginning of lunch. If you are unable to make it, please see Mrs. Lindsay.
  • Boys Rugby will have the first practice today at 3:30 in the gym.
  • Our AAA basketball teams will be playing for bronze today at UPEI. Women take on Bluefield at 2pm while the men play Westisle at 4. Good luck Colonels!

Athletics:

  • A reminder that if you are in the gym at lunchtime, there is absolutely no food or drink allowed. If you plan on participating, you must change your clothes.

Music:

  •  Gr. 11/12 band will rehearse Monday morning at 745am.      Gr. 10 band will rehearse Tuesday morning at 745am.

Notices:

  • Calling all students interested in PHOTOGRAPHY? You can be part of SKILLS CANADA competitions this year in their new category of photography! The deadline to enter is FRIDAY – March 1 See Ms. Bovaird to reserve your place – just participating in an event like this is good for your resume… and who knows – you might win!!
  • This year’s BUTTON CONTEST WINNERS are asked to see Ms Bovaird if they have any questions about the BUTTON TRADING EVENT at the Confed Cetnre ART GALLERY, 7 pm this Friday night! The Button Trading event is open to EVERYONE and is FREE so come along and bring your friends.
  • The Mawi’omi Centre will be hosting a PD Day on Campus for Indigenous youth (Grade 8 to 12) on March 8th from 10 to 2! It will be a day of exploring campus and having fun.  Registrations are at tinyurl.com/y2fn3j3w
