  • Students who had artwork in the recent Art Show at the Guild are asked to collect their work from Ms. Bovaird’s classroom this week.
  • Calling all grade 10, 11, and 12’s that want to help plan this year’s Safe Grad Event!!  Meeting in Mrs. Bradley’s room 210 at noon on Thursday, April 13th.  All are welcome and bring your lunch.
  • 3v3 basketball schedule for the rest of the tournament will be posted in the gym. First game starts at 11:50, second game at 12:05. Please be on time for your games and let the PE department or Leadership class know if you’re unable to play a particular game. Today’s schedule is The Rats vs Crossfit, Fellowship vs Chino Hills, Unfair Vs Portland Potatoes, Alphabets vs Josiah and Cole.
  • Badminton will go today right after school at 3:30.
    Men and women’s rugby will go from 330-530 outside, still no cleats allowed.
  • Free the children meeting at lunch in room 120 for anyone who needs information about the 24hr famine, which is now on Wednesday April 19th.
  • Cafeteria specials today  are Bacon cheesburger with wedges $5.25 or Popcorn chicken bowl sm$3.75 lrg 5.00.

  • Cameron’s Spring Fling dance is tonight from 7:30-10:30. The dance is going to be a Hawaiian themed and all proceeds are going to Easter Seals. The tickets will be sold from Ms. Fleming’s office at lunch. Tickets will be $5 for Gray students and $7 for your guest from another high school.

  • Badminton Team practices Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3:15-5:30 Tuesday & Thursday 5:30-7:30. Regionals next week.
  • Track today at UPEI at 4pm for all sprinters, middle and long distance runners.
  • There will be a meeting for anybody interested in the Free the Children 24hr famine Thursday at lunch in room 120. The new date for the famine is Wednesday, April 19th.

  • Cameron’s Spring Fling dance is tomorrow night from 7:30-10:30. The dance is going to be a Hawaiian themed and all proceeds are going to Easter Seals. The tickets will be sold through your block D teachers and if you do not have a block D teacher, you can buy your tickets from Ms. Fleming in her office at lunch. Tickets will be $5 for Gray students and $7 for your guest from another high school.
  • Distracted Driving Fact #3: Every province in Canada has fines for distracted driving..some up to $500.
  • The Mumbo Jumbo Street Gang will be meeting today at 11:45 in Room 215.  Anyone interested in competing in the provincial poetry slam is expected to attend.  All interested creative writers, rappers, poets, and actors are welcome!
  • Any students who have had universities and colleges ask for official mid-term marks, may now order these in Student Services.
  • 3v3 basketball will start tomorrow, but the schedule will not be completed until just before lunch. All teams should be prepared to play tomorrow, just check in the gym at the beginning of lunch on Wednesday.
  • Badminton will go today after school, and both rugby teams will be outside from 330-530. Reminder that students cannot wear cleats.

  • Cameron’s Spring Fling dance is coming up this week on the 12th of April from 7:30-9:30. The dance is going to be a Hawaiian themed and yes, all proceeds are going to Easter Seals.   • Huge thanks to Mrs. Rajamanie and her group of talented artists who raised over $200 for the Easter Seals in the Art Battle as part of the Variety Show last week.  Congratulations!
  • CNIB is now registered for the Community Service Bursary Program for students to accumulate volunteer hours in many different ways. More information is on the bulletin board in Student Services.
  • April 9th marked the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy ridge.  Please take a moment to reflect on this historic battle and to remember those who continue to serve in our armed forces.
  • There will be yoga today after school in the wellness center, all are welcome.
  • Reminder that today and tomorrow, men and women’s rugby will be after school from 330-530, outside. Dress for the weather.
  • Spring League volleyball practice will be from 7-9 tonight instead of 8-10.

  • Today is Thursday, here is Distracted Driving Fact #2: 26% of all car crashes involve phone use.
  • Today, Acadia University invites students and parents to Delta Prince Edward at 7 p.m.  Topics covered include course registration and how to successfully transition to university.  They are also doing on-the-spot admissions and waiving the application fee for students still wanting to apply.   Please take a copy of your most recent report card.
  • The Euclid math contest will be held in the Library at 12:35 today. Good luck to all contestants.
  • Paper eggs will be sold today in the main lobby at lunch. Buy an egg, support Cameron Gordon and Easter Seals.

  • Reminder that the Art Show for IB and Grade 10 Visual Art will be hosting the official reception this evening at the Gallery at the Guild.  We welcome all students, their friends and family to drop in and see the wonderful collection of their artwork.  The reception runs from 7-9 this evening. The show at the Guild will be on display until this Saturday.
  • Tonight’s Boombastic Variety Show will feature 14 acts and a live art battle between 13 artists.  Final ticket sales will be today at lunch in front of the Lecture Theatre.  Also, 3 free tickets will be given away during today’s Noon Show featuring the occasionally funny, Sam Rainnie.

  • Yearbook Blitz:  We will be selling yearbook for the cost of $35 through your C block teacher.  Yearbook have to be pre-paid before the order is placed and a receipt will be issued to your name once the envelop are collected.  This sale blitz is until April 18.
  • The Noon Show is giving away a free ticket to tonight’s Variety Show if you can answer the following question. What was the name of Frank & Linda’s book? If you think you have the answer contact anyone from the Noon Show team.

  • There will be an information meeting on Tuesday evening, April 4th at 7:00 p.m. in the library for any grade 10 students and their parents or guardians who are interested in the IB Diploma Programme starting in grade 11.
  • On Thursday, April 6, Acadia University invites students and parents to Delta Prince Edward at 7 p.m.  Topics covered include course registration and how to successfully transition to university.  They are also doing on-the-spot admissions and waiving the application fee for students still wanting to
    apply.   Please take a copy of your most recent report card.
  • There is a mandatory meeting for all participants in the Variety Show.  The meeting will be at 12:15 in the Lecture Theatre.  We will be reviewing the order of performers so you must be present.
  • In intramurals, there will be 3 on 3 basketball starting next week. Monday, April 10th. Please sign up in the gym by the end of the day on Wednesday.
  • April is distracted driving month. Every Tuesday and Thursday there will be a new distracted driving fact. Driving Fact#1: Engaging in text messaging makes you 23 times more likely to be involved in a car crash.
  • There will be yoga in the wellness center after school today, instead of Gray Fit. Tomorrow, Wednesday, Gray Fit will be happening at lunchtime instead of after school.
  • The schedule for rugby & badminton is posted in the gym, please check it so that you know when practices are.
  • Last night in high school hockey action, the boys won and the girls lost, both against Montague. The girls play today against KISHORA at 6:20 in Kensington.
  • Grade 11&12 band practice tomorrow morning at 7:40
