  • Congratulations to all Skills Canada Participants. Medal winners include Alex Geldart and Jacob Hood – Gold, Riley Hume, Kiara Landry, Nick MacRae, Devon Simmons and Ben Statts Silver, Maja Garic and Brett Bovyer Bronze.
  • Speedball intramurals will begin after March Break.  Pick up sign up sheets from the gym bulletin board and have them passed into Ms.Currie asap.
  • March Break badminton from 1-3pm Monday to Thursday. Team tryouts start Tuesday March 29th.
  • Little Big Band members please go to the Band room at 11:40 today to get new music before the break.
  • The Mumbo Jumbo street slang gang meets today at 11:45 in the Lecture Theatre, all new members are welcome.
  • Cafeteria specials today are Bacon cheese burger & wedges, 3 cheese pizza & wedges $5.10 or sweet & sour meatball bowl $3.50

  • Are you interested in a three-week summer exchange program in the United States? Looking for highly motivated students only.  Please see Mr. Cox in Student Services about the Youth Ambassador Program 2016.
  • Any students planning a career in health (such as physician, nursing, pharmacy, occupational/physio or respiratory therapist) may want to attend the Health Career Panel at UPEI on March 15, 6 – 8 p.m.  It’s free of charge.  More information is available in Student Services to reserve your seat.
  • Badminton practice this week Monday-Thursday 7:30-9:30pm, so tryouts can begin immediately following March Break.
  • Cafeteria specials today are Lasagna with side caesar salad or meat-lovers pizza & fries $5.10.

  • Prom meeting today in room 129 starting at 11:40. All those who are interested are invited to attend.
  • Any students planning to attend the UPEI Open Class Day tomorrow (Friday, March 11th), it may be helpful to take a copy of your latest report card, for additional documentation.   For more information, check posters in Student Services.
  • Any students planning a career in health (such as physician, nursing, pharmacy, occupational/physio or respiratory therapist) may want to attend the Health Career Panel at UPEI on March 15, 6 – 8 p.m.  It’s free of charge.  More information is available in Student Services to reserve your seat.
  • Rugby practices will start this upcoming Monday in the gym.  All interested athletes are encouraged to attend.  Practice times will be the Men at 3:30 and Women at 5:30.  Sneakers and shorts are all that you need.  Any players interested in traveling to the Rothesay tournament this year should be aware that fees will need to be paid before March Break.
  • There will be a practice for anyone interested in shot put or discus this track and field season on Saturday at 10AM in the cafeteria.  See Mr. Peterson for details.

  • Congratulations to our Girls and Boys AAA Basketball teams!!
    The girls won the Silver in a tough game with Charlottetown Rural and our Boys won the provincial banner defeating Charlottetown Rural.
  • Rugby practices begin Monday for all athletes. The men will go at 3:30 and the women at 5:30.
  • Cafeteria Specials today are BBQ Pizza and wedges, Chicken fingers and wedges $5.10 or meat macaroni and cheese bowl $3.50.

  • Congratulations to our Boys AA Basketball team who won the PEISAA Bronze medal last night.  Melvin Sim-Turay was voted a Tournament All Star.
  • Good Luck to our AAA boys and girls who play tonight at UPEI  GO COLONELS!
    • The basketball games must be a no drinking a no drug event.  School rules apply.
    • UPEI Security is overseeing the event and they will be using rules similar to many concerts.  No outside food or drink will be permitted (canteen will be open), no bags or backpacks permitted (there is no bag check so don’t bring a bag), no body paint, clothing and shirts are mandatory, malicious signage is not permitted.
    • Cheer for the Colonels, support and encourage our players.  Have fun!  Represent our school well!
  • Attention all Kernels! Pop down to space disco club for a wonderful time as we celebrate corn today at 11:50 in room 244.

  • The Making Waves trivia winners last week were, Ronan Weeks, Alex Geldert and Rachel MacDonald. See the whiteboard across from student council for this weeks trivia.
  • GOOD LUCK to all our PEI SKILLS CANADA participants this week.  All students in the SKILLS CANADA competitions are reminded to check their email for IMPORTANT updates and messages before their competition and to double check the date and location of the competition.
  • Grade 10 band practice today at 12:30, senior jazz today at 4:00, Grade 11&12 band practice tomorrow morning at 7:40, Grade 10 Band and Grade 11&12 Band perform at PEI Band Days on Wednesday, March 9.
  • The following students please to go to Student Services at break and see Mr. Cox:

  • The Tourism Industry Association of Prince Edward Island (TIAPEI) will be hosting the annual event on Saturday, March 5th at the Delta Prince Edward from 10-3pm. This event is open to all ages, skill levels and educational backgrounds of people that have a desire to work in the tourism industry. Attendees of Job Fair will also have a chance to enter to win a pair of tickets to one night of the Lottomax Cavendish Beach Music Festival.
  • Cafeteria specials today are Bacon cheeseburger platter or Meat-lovers pizza & fries $5.10, BLT wrap $5 or Popcorn chicken bowl $3.50.
