  • The Music Dept. Christmas Concert will be held this evening at 7 and features our Little Big Band, Grade 10 Concert band, Senior Jazz Band and Grade 11&12 Concert Band as well as some singers. Free admission…all are welcome!
  • Winter Formal dance Dec 16th 7-10:00pm, tickets $5 each or 2 for $10
  • The Rotary Exchange Program has extended it’s deadline until December 16th.  There is one spot remaining for next year.  If you are interested please see Mr. Peterson for details.
  • Drama 621 students are reminded to meet at the Lecture Theatre doors at 12:15 for the walk to today’s performance venue.
  • Access Mental Health is gathering stories from students whose lives have been touched by challenges such as anxiety, depression, autism spectrum, conduct or eating disorders. Participants receive $30.  See the bulletin board in Student Services.
  • The Mumbo Jumbo Street Slang Gang will not meet this week.  However, all performers are asked to find Mr. B before Friday as we work on a Christmas-themed live performance.
  • Last Chance Grads! Life touch is finishing up as we speak. If you have not yet been photographed for the grad composite,  please see the photographers now in the Library.
  • Just a reminder, the environmental club is open in room 208, all are welcome.
  • Badminton club every Sunday at 9:30, all those interested in playing competitively for CG are invited to attend, raquetes are available.
  • Cafeteria specials today are Soft beef tacos with rice $5.10, pulled pork on a kaiser with rice $5.10 or chicken pasta bowl $3.50.

  • Multicultural week continues today with another fun activity in the cafeteria at lunch to promote Colonel Gray Diversity.
  • Grad Photos: Attention grade 12 students, today is the last scheduled day for grad photos, if you have not yet made arrangements to get your photos taken, please see the photographer at your first opportunity.
  • Ms Bovaird’s IB Visual Art classes are reminded to check their email about this afternoon’s field trip to the Confederation Centre Art Gallery.

Multicultural Week Dec 7th-11th

The Welcoming Committee with support from Student Council and Free the Children will be holding events in the cafeteria each day at lunch.  The Welcoming Committee will be seeking donations to support Dr Bonnie Stewart’s GoFundMe campaign which is raising money to sponsor Syrian Refugees .  Please click the link below if you wish to make a donation.

Christmas Band Concert Dec 10th 7-9PM

Please join us on Thursday December 10th from 7-9 pm in the school gymnasium for the Colonel Gray band Christmas concert.  Our students and Mr Jabbour will put you in the holiday spirit with a mix of contemporary and classic holiday music.

  • The Philosophy Club will meet today in room 141 at 11:45.
  • Reminder Colonels! This Wednesday & Thursday is Free the Children’s Annual Christmas Bake Sale! Bring some change and support a good cause!
  • A representative of the University of Toronto will be giving a virtual presentation today at 11:40 in room 139.  See Mr. Peterson for details.
  • Little Big Band will rehearse Wednesday from 1200-1220.
  • If you’re in the mood for adventures, head to space disco club at 11:50 in room 244 to embark on a quest to explore music from around the world and celebrate diversity! All are welcome!
  • Cafeteria specials today are fries with the works, cheese pizza & side, chicken pasta bake & side salad $5.10 or chicken caesar wrap $5.

  • Badminton club will continue this Sunday at 9:00 am open to all Colonel Gray students.

  • Grad Photo sessions for Tomorrow: Due to the impending inclement weather, all grad photo sessions scheduled for tomorrow are canceled.  Please see Mr. Dempsey in the library today to reschedule.
  • Little Big Band will rehearse today from 1230-1250.
  • Colonel Gray Badminton Club is on Sunday mornings 9-11 all students are welcome.
  • Staff and students, make this Holiday Season special for less fortunate children and teens in our community. Please donate new, unwrapped gifts for children, newborn to 18 years old. We are in need of toys, puzzles, arts & crafts, books, educational items, board games. Drop off your toys to the Big Red Box outside of Student Services. All gifts should be in by December 18.  For more info please see Maja Garic.
  • Has your life been touched by mental health challenges?  Are you between 10 – 18 years old?  Do you want to tell your confidential story?   Please check the poster in student services for more contact information.  Students involved in the research project will be given a $30 thank you participation fee.

  • Acadia University representatives will be at Student Services on Thursday, Dec. 3rd from 11:40 until 12:25, They will be doing a presentation and on site admissions.Dr. Jan Stewart will be here tomorrow as the Welcoming Committee’s special guest, all are welcome!
  • Free the Children will be meeting tomorrow. If you want to go caroling, make sure to come to the meeting tomorrow!
  • Jesus at Gray will be today in room 121. If you want to be part of our Christmas activities come to the meeting today.
  • No Philosophy Club today.  We’ll meet again next week.

So COME ON COLONEL GRAY and let’s make a BIG difference in the lives of some needy Island families by donating.
  • Winter Formal will be Dec 16th from 7:30-10:00 $5 a ticket or 2 for $10.
  • Next week will be Multicultural week, to celebrate Colonel Gray diversity , lots of fun activities all week long.

Wreath pick up is today from 4 – 6:30 at the band door entrance.

There are 4 spots available for band students to get extra credits to help with the wreath pick up today

Mrs. Sheppard’s art room will be opened today at lunch for Craft students who need extra help in their projects.

Booking Grad Photo Sitting Times
For Clarification:  Grad photos can be booked either:
Through Madison MacQuaid during the day  OR  from 11:40 until 12:30 every noon hour through the photographer in the back room of the library.
All grad students must have their photo taken by Life Touch so they will be included in the Grad Composite.   There is no charge, nor do you need an appointment, for a grad composite only sitting.
Yoga Club will meet in the Lecture Theatre today at 11:55
