  • Reminder to grade 12 students to clean out your lockers today, leave locker open with the lock locked on the hasp.
  • Congratulations to all our National Skills Canada participants who did a great job representing PEI and Colonel Gray in Toronto last week!  Dane Cutcliffe and Isaiah Jabbour earned a bronze medal in their TV and Video competition.  Great job!
  • Congratulations to Maja Garic, who’s poster was selected as the winning design for the Charlottetown Fringe Festival this August.
  • Intramurals Championship game today Winner A vs. Winner B.

  • Graduates should make sure they have completed the green transcript request form in Student Services indicating the university or college their final June marks need to be sent.  Note – Even if you had them mailed earlier in the year, all universities/colleges will require June final transcripts.
  • Remember to drop off your non-perishable food items to the table in the cafeteria for a chance to win a dinner for two to McDonald’s There will be draws daily, so show your support for the Food Bank throughout the week.
  • Grad t-shirts on sale in the lobby today, June 5th and again Monday, June 9th–last day of classes for grade 12s. Full Safe Grad Committee meeting tomorrow in Mrs. Bradley’s room 210 at noon. All committee expected to attend to determine role in the event on June 24th.
  • Mosaic Club’s final meeting of this school year is today at lunch in room 116. Everyone is welcome! Bring your friends!

  • Reminder to the boys softball team, the bus leaves at 1:15 for Westisle.
  • Graduates should make sure they have completed the green transcript request form in Student Services indicating the university or college their final June marks need to be sent.  Note – Even if you had them mailed earlier in the year, all universities/colleges will require June final transcripts.
  • Attention Graduates!! Grad T-shirts will go on sale today until Monday, June 9th in the main lobby.  The cost of the t-shirts will be approximately $10.00.  Safe Grad Executive needs to get the order done and placed before exams begin.
  • EAL students. A UPEI rep will be in Student Services today to discuss services and programs for studying at UPEI.
  • Reminder to any students planning on taking coop during summer school, applications are due in the main office by this Friday June 6.
  • Jesus at Gray is meeting today at lunch in room 152, all are welcome.

Homeroom meeting – Special Day Schedule – Friday, June 6, 2014

  • 9:00 to 9:25 Homeroom Meeting for all students.
    • Grade 12 Homerooms
      • Prom bracelets can be purchased for $14.00 on-line or in person from the homeroom teacher.  Bracelets will be provided to the grads during the homeroom meeting.  Bracelets can be purchased for $18.00 from the main office after June 6.
      • Student receive School Cash statements and unreturned item statement for textbooks, library books, and other items such as sport uniforms.  Fees must be paid and items returned prior to grad gown fitting on June 20.  Payments can be made on-line or through the office.
    • Grade 10 and 11 Homerooms
      • Students will receive their registration and planning sheets with 2014-2015 course choices.  The choices should be reviewed and updated to include 8 course choices and and if/not then selection.
      • Student receive School Cash statements and unreturned item statement for textbooks, library books, and other items such as sport uniforms.  Payments can be made on-line or through the office.
  • Transition to period 1 – no scheduled break
  • 9:30 to 10:35 Period 1
  • 10:35 to 10:45 Break
  • 10:45 to 11:50 Period 2
  • 11:50 to 12:40 Lunch Break – 50 minutes
  • 12:40 to 1:50 Period 3

  • Intramurals today, Reitman’s Juicers vs. Pickles
  • There will be a food drive for the Food Bank starting tomorrow until Tuesday June 10th. You can drop off your non-perishable food items at the table in the cafeteria. For every food item donated, you will receive a ballot for a prize package and the draw will be held next week.
  • Congratulations to our A girls rugby team on their provincial championship yesterday.  They had two convincing wins 47-7 over Bluefield in the semi’s and 29-7 over Tosh in the final.  Well done girls!!
     We had two heartbreaking losses last night as well.  Our boys softball team stranded runniers on 2nd and 3rd in a 3-2 extra innings loss to Kinkora while our A boys rugby team lost on the last play of the game 17-14 to Three Oaks.  Both teams battled hard and represented very well.  Congrats on great seasons.
     Today at 5:00 our AAA boys rugby team host Charlottetown Rural.  Come on out and cheer them on!!
  • GSA will meet today in room 151. hope to see you all there!
  • Musical mashed potatoes is being performed tonight and tomorrow night in the Lecture Theatre at 7pm tickets are $5 at the door.

  • Hey Grads, please submit your pictures to cgprom2014@gmail.com before June 10th to show at prom! Also important prom meeting this Thursday for packing up prom bracelets and important information update on Photo Booth. Grade 10 and 11 volunteers please also attend this meeting. All are welcome!
  • Mosaic Club executive meeting today in room 116.
  • For all EAL students: A rep from UPEI English Academic Program will be in Student Services during lunch on Wednesday to answer any questions about programs and services for studying at UPEI.
  • Grade 11 grad band practice Tuesday morning. Grade 11 band members are asked to pick up music from Mr. Jabbour
