  • Maritime Idol is happening in the lecture theatre tonight at 6:30 pm . Come out to enjoy some talent and vote for your favorite contestant. There is an admission charge at the door.
  • Anyone particicpating in the 24hr famine please go to room 120 at lunch!
  • There will be a meeting at 12:15 today at student services for any girls interested in trying out for the Colonelk Gray Girls softball team.
  • Cafeteria special today Easter Dinner – ham/scalloped potatoes/veggies/frozen yogurt with berries/sm (w) milk $6.50. Whoever purchases a special today will be entered in a draw to win a chocolate bunny. Winner of the egg hunt was Kellen Devries and Carly Brady was the winner of the jar/egg count, please come to the office for you token for your free dinner.
  • Any Free the Children member who brouhgt in bake sale goods, please pick up your tupperware from room 120 by today.

    • School Cash statement provided to students – Payments can be made on-line or at the main office.  $0 balance is required.
    • 1-minute fund raising tweeting and change collection flurry to raise funds for the Easter Seals Ambassador telethon and ‘Clara’s Big Ride’ removing the stigma related to mental health.

  • The Colonel Gray Community will be hosting a Miracle Minute on Thursday to raise funds for both Easter Seals and Mental Health.
    At 9:22 a.m., some students will be runnning around the school to collect funds from each class. They will have EXACTLY 1 minute to gather donations from the entire Colonel Gray Community. So tweet about this at ClarasBigRide, post it on facebook and BRING YOUR CHANGE TO MAKE A CHANGE. Thank you. 
  • Prom Committee meeting today at lunch in Ms Costello’s room! Please be there on time so we could check out the stuff in the basement! New members are always welcome! Hope to see you all there!

  • Prom committee meeting will be held Wednesdays at lunch in Mrs. Costello’s room! The details of theme will be discussed this Wednesday! All are welcome and hope to see you all there!
  • Do you want to be a member of next year’s student council?  Do you want to be President?  Do you want to decide how your school is run?  If so, please come to Room 215 today at 11:45 for more information.  It’s Colonel Gray’s 2014 Apprentice! 
  • A sales rep from Josten’s will be in the cafeteria today at lunch for those of you that would like to order a class ring.
  • Cafeteria special today is pasta bake with garlic toast$3.80 add caesar salad $4.80 add small white milk $5.25.
  • There will be an Easter egg hunt in the cafeteria on Wednesday, whoever finds the most eggs will win an Easter dinner on Thursday. There will also be a jar with eggs in it…guess how many eggs and you will win Easter dinner on Thursday as well.
  • Little Big Band will rehearse this Thursday at lunch.
  • Junior  Achievement is hosting bingo tomorrow at lunch in the cafeteria. Come on ut and try and win a tub of ice cream, a McDonald’s gift card and a Colonel gray t-shirt. The first card is free, but if you want to like a pro each additional card is $1each. All proceeds go to Junior Achievement.
  • Girls Rugby today at 3:30-5:30, guys rugby today at 4:30-6:30 both practices are outside, bring your mouth guards, cleats and old clothes that doesn’t matter if they get covered in mud.
  • Intramural Badminton today…new doubles team welcome.
  • GSA Meeting across from Bio lab at lunch everyone welcome!
  • Brief Free the Children meeting today in room 120 afterschool. Anyone participating in the 24hr famine please attend!
  • Musical chairs today at lunch in the cafeteria. It’s $5 per person to participate. Play for a chance to win a cake!
  • Smoking cessation/strength club today at noon.

  • Intramural Badminton begins today at lunch. All teams are requested to be in attendance so that tournament runs smoothly.
  • The Canadian Chemistry Contest will be written at 12:40 today in room 231 for those interested.
  • All members of the Badminton team playing singles today and doubles tomorrow please go to room 143 at the start of lunch for a 10 minute meeting. Congratulations to our Under 16 and Under 19 badminton players for great showings the last couple of weekends!
  • Students writing math contests this week are reminded of the following times and locations:
    Grade 12 Euclid contest Tuesday at 9 in the Library
    Grade 10 & 11 contests Wednesday at 9 in the cafeteria
    If you have any questions, please see Mr. MacDonald in room 141.
  • A sales rep from Jostens will be here today at lunch to take your orders for your class ring. 
  • There will be an IB meeting on Thursday, April 17th at 7:00 p.m. in the library for students and parents/guardians who are interested in taking IB classes in September.

The Colonel Gray Boy’s hockey team finished with the silver medal in this years High School Hockey Tournament that is hosted by Bluefield High School.  Thanks to the team for a great effort.

  • Anyone interested in the Canadian Chemistry Contest on Monday, April 14, should speak with Mrs. Mitchell today. The contest will be written on Monday afternoon, beginning at 12:40 in Rm 231.
  • Next week an order will be put through for Colonel Gray clothing, so bring in your money on Monday and check out the clothing.
  • Minute to win it challenge starts Monday at lunch! Sign up sheets are posted outside the student council office. Sign up your team of two today!
