Athletics:

  • Sign ups for Intramural dodge-ball will begin on Monday. Organize your friends and get a team signed up.

Notices:

  • There will be a dance on Wednesday, February 28 7:30-10:30pm. Tickets will be sold through your block B teachers starting today. Tickets are $6 or $5 if you write a positive message on an index card. Sign-ins need to take their high school ID.
  • Red Cross Club will be having a Bake sale in the main lobby of the school, during lunch on Tuesday of next week. All proceeds will go towards the Pink Shirt Day foundation. Stop by to help support the Anti- Bullying initiative.
  • Do you know your blood type? Come to the front lobby at lunch on Monday to get your blood typed for free! Age 17+ only, sign up today in the front lobby.

  • Badminton club tomorrow AM.  Start time is 7:45.  Everyone welcomed!

Band:

  • Senior Jazz sax sectional in practice room B today.

Notices:

  • Anyone interested in poetry, rap, or performance is encouraged to attend the Mumbo Jumbo Street Slang Gang meeting in Room 215 at lunch today.  We will be preparing for this year’s provincial poetry slam to be held in the spring.
  • The blood bank will be here on Monday for you to get your blood typed and students will be taking names for blood donations. Stayed tuned for the location.

Band:

  • Senior Jazz saxophone sectional today at 12 noon in practice room B.

  • There will be a brief Duke of Edinburgh Award meeting today at lunch in Mrs. Lee’s room, room 140. All bronze and silver candidates please attend. Please arrive by 11:45 pm.

Notices:

  • Come one and all from grade 10 to grade 12 to the start up SAFE GRAD meeting in Mrs. Bradley’s Room 210 at 12:00 noon today.  If you are interested in what it is about or want to be part of the organization of this event, bring  your lunch and join us for an introductory meeting.
  • ADP Students: Fraud prevention training has been rescheduled for THIS TUESDAY at 10:15 in the library!!!
  • Reminder to all grade 12 French Immersion students wanting to participate in the DELF, you must register by the end of February using the link provided by your French teacher.  Please note that once you have made your choice of level (B1 or B2), you will not be able to change it.

Student Services:

  • Holland College and Hot 105.5 will be here on Tuesday February 20th to talk to students interested in Holland College – They will also have a chance to fill out a ballet to win free tuition for the 2018-19 school year.

Band:

  • Little Big Band will meet today at 12 noon.

Meetings:

  • Improv Club meets in room 215 at lunch. New members are always welcome, so feel free to come by and check it out.

Notices:

  • Please note, there will be retakes for GRAD photos with Lifetouch Photography during the first week of March. Location and further details to follow.

Student Services:

  • All final transcript orders have been processed and sent out, including the requests from yesterday.  This will ensure students meet the application and scholarship deadlines.
    However, students can still continue to request transcripts daily to be mailed to universities and colleges

  • Students are asked to keep report cards, which were sent home on Friday, in a safe place. These may be required for attendance verification in the future, immigration documentation or unofficial marks when applying for scholarships and bursaries.  Do not throw out your report cards!

  • Congrats to our AA boys basketball who won both of their games yesterday advancing to Saturday’s Championship game at 2:45 at Charlottetown Rural. Our AAA boys also defeated Rural 73-67. Congrats Teams!!

Student Services:

  • Grade 12 students should fill in a transcript request form in Student Services THIS WEEK. All universities and colleges will require your final marks from First Semester, as soon as possible, in order to meet their application and scholarship deadlines.
    To date, only 48 grads have requested their final February marks to be sent to universities or colleges.  Even if you had your November marks sent earlier, all universities will require your final First Semester marks.  Please fill in a form today in Student Services, including everywhere you’ve applied to, or plan to apply within the next couple of weeks.
