Variety Show tickets will be on sale today at lunch in front of the Lecture Theatre.  While you’re watching the “Noon Show”, you’ll be able purchase your ticket for tomorrow’s epic variety show.  There will also be a mandatory meeting for all variety show contestants tomorrow at lunch.

Ms Bovaird’s art students from first semester are asked to check their emails for an important message.

Everyone is invited to the opening reception of our IB and Grade 10 student art show at the Guild on Wednesday, March 29 from 7-9pm.  Come out and help up celebrate our students’ talents and creativity.  The show continues to run at the Guild until April 9th.

The schedule for the week is up in the gym for all extra-curricular sports.
Women’s rugby will go today from 3:30-5:30, Wednesday from 5:30-7:30 and Thursday room 3:30-5:30
Men’s rugby will go Wednesday from 7:30-9:30, Thursday from 7:30-9:30 & Friday 5:30-7:30
The Art 601/621 class have been working on painting some busts in Art Movement Themes, these are on display in the library and need your votes.  Please choose your favourite and vote at the Library desk, votes excepted up to the end of the day Friday
If any Chemistry students are interested in writing the Chem 13 News or Avogadro Exams put on by the University of Waterloo, please put your name on the sign-up sheet in Room 230 before the end of the week. These exams are open to students who have or are taking Grade 11 or 12 Chemistry. See Mr. Sealy for more information.
Would you like to be on the makeup team for The Little Mermaid? Please come to a very quick meeting in Room 213 Wednesday at 11:45. If you can’t attend, please see Mrs. Cutcliffe.

The Variety Show will be this Wednesday from 7 to 9.  Ticket sales will continue this week at lunch in the main lobby. Please be reminded that there will be no tickets sold at the door.

There will be a joint meeting for the Free the Children, Student Council and Key Club in the Lecture Theatre today at 11:45.
Do you have 15 minutes to improve your fitness? Beeptest Club starts Wednesday at 8:15 in the gym.

  • All boys interested in playing rugby this year are encouraged to come try rugby today from 530-7.
  • Spring league volleyball tomorrow from 6-8, men & women.
  • Any female volleyball players interested in spring league volleyball who cannot attend the try out tomorrow need to let Mrs. Lindsay or Jeremy MacKinnon know as soon as possible as rosters need to be in by the 24th.
  • There is a schedule for the week after march break for all athletics posted on the bulletin board in the gym. Please have a look so you know dates for tryouts and practices.
  • Chess Club today in the library at lunch.
  • A representative from Waterloo’s Math & Computer Science Dept. will be here today in room 140 at 11:45.
  • Thanks to the students who were tour leaders for the Queen Charlotte & Birchwood grade 9’s…you did a great job and students appreciated your efforts. Also thanks to Mr. Dodds for your tour of the trades area.

  • All basketball players are reminded to bring their uniforms in to the phys ed department. Students with outstanding uniforms from ANY sport will be unable to play a spring sport until it’s brought in.
  • Badminton try outs continue today after school. There will be no Gray Fit today, but the wellness center will be open.
  • There will be another “Come try rugby” today from 5:30-7. All new players welcome! Boys will go tomorrow from 530-7.
  • Tomorrow there will be a representative from Waterloo’s Math and Computer Science Dept.in room 140 at 11:45, all interested in these programs please attend.
  • Mr. Steve Brazil is celebrating his birthday today! Happy Birthday Mr. Brazil!

  • Due to the impending storm, Wednesday’s Variety Show will be canceled.  We will reschedule the show to the Wednesday after the March Break (March 29th).  Tickets that have been purchased will be honored at the rescheduled show.
  • Reminder that on Thursday, March 16 a representative from Waterloo’s Math and Computer Science Dept. will visit Colonel Gray at 11:45 in room 140. All are welcome to attend.

  • Variety Show tickets will be on sale today in the main lobby at lunch.  Tickets are $5 and there are only 170 of them.  So, if you want to see the show, buy a ticket ASAP!
  • Badminton try-outs continue this week, every day from 330-530.Yoga in the wellness room today from 330-430, all staff and students welcome.
  • If you would like to try rugby before try outs start after March break, this is the week to do it!
    Women will go today and Wednesday 530-7 and men Tuesday and Thursday at the same time. All new students welcome!
  • All basketball players are reminded to bring in their uniforms to the PE department. You are unable to move forward into another sport until your uniform is returned.
  • Congratulations to our powerlifting athletes who attending provincials in Montague on Thursday: Dustin Gertley-Gregan, Patrick Martin, Caleb Boreland & Griffen Wakelin.  Thank you to Mr. Cole for organizing.
  • Unfortunately, due to possible weather, the Free the Children 24 hour Famine that was planned for Tuesday night has been cancelled.
  • All members are asked to attend the Key Club meeting today at lunch to elect new executive members.
  • On Thursday a representative from Waterloo’s Math and Computer Science Dept. will be here at 11:45 in room 140, all interested in these programs please attend.

  • Free the children meeting for those students interested in the 24hr famine today at lunch in room 120.
  • Auditions for the Variety Show will be today @ 11:45 in the Lecture Theatre.  All participants MUST audition.  Each act will be given a maximum of 2 minutes to perform.  Also, ticket sales will start on Monday but only a maximum of 160 will be sold – first come, first served.
  • Chess club today at lunch in the library.
  • Good luck to our four athletes heading to power lifting provincials today in Montague.
    All basketball players who have not yet turned in their uniforms are reminded they need to do so as soon as possible.
  • Students who paid for Brookvale can see their PE teacher at break or lunchtime to get their refund.
  • Congratulations to our basketball athletes who have been selected as provincial all-stars. On the “A” 1st team: Emma Collicut & Sam Compton “A” 2nd team: Patrick Heffernan     “A” 3rd team: Keir Warren & Taylor MacDougall.
    For AAA:  1st team Alex Campbell, Matt Connolly & John Alex Vos:     2nd teamSophia Blanchard & Sam Strain.
  • Could all of those athletes please see Mrs Lindsay either today or early next week.
  • Badminton tryouts today 3:15-5:50 and all next week additional court time Sundays 4:30-6:30.

  • Yesterday was an exciting day in basketball for Colonel Gray. Our AAA girls took home a bronze medal yesterday afternoon after defeating Westisle 57-53. With 13.4 seconds on the clock, the Colonels were up by one point. Sam Strain hit a three-point shot with 9 seconds left to clinch the win. Top scorers were Frances Alvarez, Sam Strain & Rylee Connolly.
  • Our AAA boys finished with Gold after a high energy game against Charlottetown Rural. Jordan Reid had a huge game, scoring 24 points and hitting 5 three-pointers. John Alex Vos finished with 16 points, while Alex Campbell had 15 points and a game-high eight rebounds. The final score was 76-63 for Gray.
  • Congratulations to all our basketball teams on completing their seasons, and thank you to coaches for all the time and effort put in over the past four months.
  • Reminder that there will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing rugby today in the gym at the beginning of lunch.
  • Badminton try outs continue today after school at 3:30.
  • There will be a Free the Children meeting tomorrow at lunch for anyone interested in the 24hr famine.
  • Grade 10 band students need to be at the Delta no later than 12:30 in uniform.
  • There will be a short meeting tomorrow at 12:00 in Mr. MacCormack’s room(151) for all returning men’s rugby players to discuss the upcoming season.

  • Variety Show auditions will be held this Thursday at 11:45 in the Lecture Theatre.  Each audition will be given 2 minutes to preview their talent.  We will be going in order of the original sign-up.  Without an audition, you will not be performing!
  • Don’t forget to attend today’s pep rally at lunch in the gym.
  • Chess Club today at lunch in the Library.
  • Badminton tryouts will start Wednesday 3:30-5:30 and continue at the same time daily until March break. Those who ordered a t-shirt, please bring your money to practice.
  • The second Rural vs Gray event will be this Saturday, March 11th at Rural from 1-4pm. The event is dodge ball so if you want to sign up individually or sign up your team, the sign up sheet is posted on the student council door.
  • Volleyball players interested in spring league please sign up in the gym so we know if we have enough interest for a team.
  • There will be a meeting tomorrow at the beginning of lunch in the gym for all girls interested in playing rugby this year.
  • Yearbooks are being sold tomorrow at lunch in the cafeteria.
  • There will be a Free the Children meeting on Tuesday at lunch for anyone interested in the 24hr famine.
