Band:

  • Gr. 11/12 senior band will rehearse tomorrow morning.

Notices:

  • The Key Club has prepared exam survival kits for grade 10 students, thanks to the generous support of the Kiwanis Club of Charlottetown and the school. These kits are being delivered right now to grade 10 classes. We hope these come in handy and help brighten your day as you head into exam week. Good luck to everyone as you prepare for exams.

Student Services:

  • Before the end of January, or during final exams, upcoming graduates should fill in a transcript request form in Student Services.  This is really important.  All universities/colleges students have applied to, or intend to apply, will require First Semester final marks. This form can be filed away until final grades are ready in early February, and then transcripts will be sent as part of a massive mail out to meet university deadlines.
  • The Jack Frost Children’s Winterfest is looking for reliable and energetic volunteers interested in helping out during the upcoming festival weekend, February 15 – 18.  This is a wonderful opportunity for students to accumulate Community Service Bursary hours.  Please check the poster in Student Services on the volunteer/work opportunity bulletin board.

Please click here to see the full schedule in pdf form.

Please click here to see the final exam protocol.

Please note the following regarding storms or delays.
Thursday is the start of exams with the SMA for our grade 11 math classes. Here are various scenarios:
-If school is canceled: SMA is on Friday and our in-house schedule will be pushed to next week.
-If school is canceled in another family(ies) of schools on Thursday, the same thing happens. This is to insure that all SMA are written on the same day in the province. We would have no students in the building but all staff would be expected to report to work.
– If school is delayed by an hour, the SMA will start an hour later, at 10:00 AM.

We are looking for original artwork for the We Will Rock You Musical poster. It can be created in any medium, but should be in colour. If you are interested, see Mr. Weale in the Art Room. The deadline is February 12. You are encouraged to show drafts of your work to Mr. Weale before submitting a finished piece.

The show is set in a post-apocalyptic world. Globalsoft Corp is in total control. Rock Music is banned. Life is boring. Two young revolutionaries must escape to the wastelands to rediscover Rock and save the day. The show features the music of Queen. Incorporating images of Queen, Freddie Mercury, or other Rock and Roll iconography is one possible direction you could take
