Deadline to submit a resolution for consideration at the 2018 Annual Meeting & convention is January 31, 2019. * School Staff Appreciation Week 2019
School staff will be celebrated across Canada February 11 – 15, 2019 during Staff Appreciation Week. Start planning now on how your Home and School will show appreciation to school staff for the contributions they make to our children and their education.

* President’s Annual Reports are due February 28

Presidents are asked to submit an annual report on your Home and School’s activities for this school year. Start your report early and record Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec. activities and in January, add all upcoming events/discussions to the end of June.   • First Strive lunch meeting will be today at lunch in room 139.
  • Red Cross Club meeting today at 12 in room 117.

Notices:

  • Christmas is coming soon, there is a plant sale by Agriscience class at lunch time in the lobby…you can buy for someone special or you can buy it for yourself.
  • There will be fudge on sale this week down by the band room.  Our famous fudge is on sale this week and you can get one sleeve for 3$ or two sleeves for $5.

Student Services:

  • St. Francis Xavier University will be visiting Student Services at lunch on Wednesday. Also, St. Mary’s University will be at the Delta Charlottetown between 7 – 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Athletics:

  • “AA” Girls Basketball will practice Monday at 3:30 and Tuesday morning at 7:00 next week.

Meetings:

  • Debate club meeting today in the lecture theatre at lunch. All are welcome, especially those who enjoy making a point and winning an argument!
  • There will be a meeting today at lunch in room 151 for all grade 12 students interested in helping out with Safe Grad.

Notices:

  • Anyone interested in gift wrapping at the Craft Fair with Free The Children, there will be a meeting today after school in the cafeteria.
  • Reminder that the grad photos will start Monday the 26th (it is a pd day) in the library conference room (Rm 112).
    If you have not yet signed in on line, please do so.  They have opened up some time slots for the first week in December.  All grads will have a picture taken for our composite and grad ceremony, so please book your time.
    For those purchasing portraits, once your account is created with lifetouch, you will then be able to see your proofs on line for selection.

Student Services:

  • University of New Brunswick will be visiting Student Services on today.
  • Any students interested in the Mount Allison University Campus Visit this Friday should see information on the bulletin board in Student Services or contact Ms. Bovaird. Travel costs will be covered.
  • Official transcripts, with mid-term marks, will be available starting Thursday for any students needing them sent to universities/colleges.  Transcript request forms are available in Student Services.

  • Strive meeting is changed until next Wednesday, November 28 at lunch in room 139
  • There will be a meeting Thursday at lunch in room 151 for all grade 12 students interested in helping out with Safe Grad.

Notices:

  • A reminder that the physics motion lab for Mr. MacDougald’s science class will go ahead today at lunch in room 225.
  • Key Club will be having a cake auction in the cafeteria today at lunch. Remember to bring money to buy some cake!

  • Congrats to the boys basketball team on winning their first game 98-32 over Montague last night.

  • Free the Children will meet today at lunch in room 120. Anyone interested in gift wrapping at the craft fair please attend.

Athletics:

  • Power lifting today at lunch in the Wellness Room.
  • There will be a “AA” Girls basketball tryout today after school from 3:20-5:00
  • “AAA” Boys basketball will play their first game today at 5:30 at home against Montague
  • “AAA” Girls will practice this evening at 7:00.
  • Any students looking to do score-keeping for basketball this year, please see Mr. Rowe at the start of lunch in the gym.
  • Any students or staff interested in Yoga can sign up for “Modo inspired yoga with Danny”. Sessions will be 3:30-4:30 on Monday’s and Friday’s starting next week. Please sign up in the gym with Mr. Rowe.
