Athletics:

  • Get your team signed up for Intramural Dodge ball games will begin next Wednesday.
  • Basketball News – Good luck to our “A” boys team as they travel to Souris today in the semifinal match-up. Our “AAA” girls play TOSH tomorrow at 6pm at UPEI, “AAA” boys play Rural tomorrow at 8pm at UPEI.

Band:

  • Senior Jazz will rehearse Wednesday after school.  There will be no rehearsal Friday.

Meetings:

  • There will be a full safe grad meeting tomorrow, March 1st at 12:00 noon in Mrs. Bradley’s room (210).  All members welcome and particular shout out to grade 10 and 11 students who are interested in what Safe Grad is all about.  Bring a friend and bring your lunch.

Notices:

  • Reminder that Duke of Edinburgh books are to be passed in on Tuesday or Wednesday this week to Mrs. Lee in Room 140.
  • Reminder to buy cupcakes today in the lobby at lunch! All proceeds go to the Humane Society.

Student Services:

  • Potential graduates should note that the deadline to apply for scholarships at Holland College is
    today, while the deadline at UPEI is Thursday, March 1st.

Athletics:

  • Congrats to “A” boys basketball – defeated KISH last night.
  • Dodgeball  Intramural sign up sheet is up in the gym.  Get your team signed up ASAP.
  • Ladies U18 Spring League Volleyball tryouts March 10th 10:00-11:30am….see Ms. Tanton in the Phys Ed area for more details.

Band:

  • Senior Jazz will rehearse Wednesday after school.  There will be no rehearsal Friday.

Notices:

  • A reminder to all grade 10 and 11 students that are writing the Waterloo Math contest that it is taking place in the library during B Block today. That’s now, so if you signed up and aren’t in the library then RUN! GO! HURRY! Actually, just walk – you have time. But don’t forget to bring a pencil and a calculator.
  • There will be a dance on Wednesday, February 28 7:30-10:30pm. Tickets will be sold through your block B teachers, Tickets are $6 or $5 if you write a positive message on an index card. Sign-ins need to take their high school ID. As this is a school event, it is a SCENT FREE DANCE as well!

  • Red Cross Club will be having a Bake sale in the main lobby of the school, during lunch today. All proceeds will go towards the Pink Shirt Day foundation. Stop by to help support the Anti- Bullying initiative.
  • Don’t forget to bring your money tomorrow to buy cupcakes in the lobby at lunch! All proceeds go to the Humane Society.

  • Anyone interested in poetry, rap, or performance is encouraged to attend the Mumbo Jumbo Street Slang Gang meeting in Room 215 at lunch today.  We will be preparing for this year’s provincial poetry slam to be held in the spring.
  • The blood bank will be here on Monday for you to get your blood typed and students will be taking names for blood donations. Stayed tuned for the location.

Band:

  • Senior Jazz saxophone sectional today at 12 noon in practice room B.

  • There will be a brief Duke of Edinburgh Award meeting today at lunch in Mrs. Lee’s room, room 140. All bronze and silver candidates please attend. Please arrive by 11:45 pm.

Notices:

  • Come one and all from grade 10 to grade 12 to the start up SAFE GRAD meeting in Mrs. Bradley’s Room 210 at 12:00 noon today.  If you are interested in what it is about or want to be part of the organization of this event, bring  your lunch and join us for an introductory meeting.
  • ADP Students: Fraud prevention training has been rescheduled for THIS TUESDAY at 10:15 in the library!!!
  • Reminder to all grade 12 French Immersion students wanting to participate in the DELF, you must register by the end of February using the link provided by your French teacher.  Please note that once you have made your choice of level (B1 or B2), you will not be able to change it.

  • Holland College and Hot 105.5 will be here on Tuesday February 20th to talk to students interested in Holland College – They will also have a chance to fill out a ballet to win free tuition for the 2018-19 school year.

Band:

  • Little Big Band will meet today at 12 noon.

  • There will be a brief Duke of Edinburgh Award meeting Thursday at lunch in Mrs. Lee’s room, room 140. All bronze and silver candidates please attend. Please arrive by 11:45 pm.
  • Improv Club meets in room 215 at lunch. New members are always welcome, so feel free to come by and check it out.

Notices:

  • Reminder to all grade 12 French Immersion students wanting to participate in the DELF, you must register by the end of February using the link provided by your French teacher.  Please note that once you have made your choice of level (B1 or B2), you will not be able to change it.
  • Please note, there will be retakes for GRAD photos with Lifetouch Photography during the first week of March. Location and further details to follow.

Student Services:

  • All final transcript orders have been processed and sent out, including the requests from yesterday.  This will ensure students meet the application and scholarship deadlines.
    However, students can still continue to request transcripts daily to be mailed to universities and colleges
