Athletics:

  • Grayfit will run today after school, Wednesday & Thursday at 1:00pm. Next week Grayfit will be Tuesday at 1:00pm and Thursday after school.
  • Any student interested in representing Colonel Gray in senior gymnastics please see Ms. Currie this week.

Band:

  • There will be an extra class for music theory today at 3:15.

Notices:

  • Reminder to students!!! Any course changes for 2nd semester are to be done through your homeroom teacher not the main office.
  • All students should note that the cafeteria will not be open for food service during the exam period from Jan 24 -Jan 31.  It will reopen when we start the second semester on February 1st.

Athletics:

  • Today in athletics our first teams host Westisle, with the men playing at 5:30 and the women at 7:15.
    Gray2 men are at Francois Buote at 5pm. Students are to get their own way there.

  • R&R Band will rehearse today after school, please pick up your new music.
  • Grade 10 band will rehears Tuesday morning at 8:00am.

  • Key club members, Don’t forget to pick up your d-con package from Mrs. Lee in room 140 today.

Athletics:

  • All four basketball teams are on the road today, with Gray1 men and women playing at TOSH, and Gray2 men and women playing at Kinkora. The bus for the Gray2 men and women to Kinkora will leave from the front of the school at 3:45.

Band:

  • Little Big Band will rehearse Monday morning, please pick up your new music.
  • R&R Band will rehearse Monday after school, please pick up your new music.

  • Cake auction in the cafeteria today! All proceeds will be donated to The Ocean Cleanup in aid of reducing the pollution of our waters.
  • There will be an Art Battle on the stage at lunch today. Students will compete to create the best rendition of a teacher guest, Mr. Bechervaise. A Gray Nation t-shirt along with bragging right will be given to the winner. More information and signup sheet will be posted outside the student council office after lunch.
  • Today is the last days to sign up for the clothes pin assassin game. It’s $2 to play and the winner gets a $20 gift card to Tim Hortons. All proceeds go to the Canadian Cancer Society. Come and support the Colonel Gray IB relay for life team.

Monday to Thursday this week, all students are encouraged to donate food products during lunch time in the main lobby in order to support and raise awareness of homelessness and hunger in PEI. The Community Food Drive will be on Thursday night from 6-8pm. Donations will be greatly appreciated.

The Relay for Life will be selling spots for the Clothes Pin Assassins game today and tomorrow in the Lobby at lunch. Tickets are $2 each and the winner will receive a $20 Tim’s Card. Proceeds to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Many positions are available for both English and bilingual work. This is a great opportunity for Colonel Gray students to line up a job summer for 2018.  Blank application forms are now available in Student Services.

Athletics:
Gray 2 women will play Grace Christian (in the old Kent building on Allen Street) today at 4pm.
We are still in need of one scorekeeper for Monday night’s game at 7pm. Please see Mrs. Lindsay if you are able to do it.

 

Volunteer Hours:

Looking for volunteer hours? Do you like being outside? See Madame Labelle in room 141 today at lunch for more information on helping out with this Years’s Winter Woodlot Tour taking place Saturday, Jan 27th

A big congratulations to Dave Morrow who received the Inspire Award through the Public Schools Branch. Dave works tirelessly in our Learning Centre and is an invaluable member of our school community. We are so proud of you Dave and feel blessed to call you not only our co-worker, but our friend.

At lunch time on Jan. 16, PEI Parks Canada will set up a recruiting booth outside of Student Services for students interested in summer employment. Many positions are available for both English and bilingual work. This is a great opportunity for Colonel Gray students to line up a job summer for 2018.
