  • Making Waves Trivia: 3 winners last week were Sarah Murphy, Chelsea Gormley and Kyra McFarlane. See the whiteboard across from the student council office for this week’s question.
  • Turkey dinner tickets are on sale today during lunch in Ms. Fleming’s office for $5, dinner is on December 15th.
  • Cafeteria specials today are baked pasta & caesar salad or pepperoni pizza & fries $5.25.

Grad Rings

Monday December 12th and Tuesday December 13th Josten’s will at the CG cafeteria during the lunch hour to take Grad Ring orders. A deposit of 60$ is required to place an order. (Josten’s accepts cash, cheque, debit or credit cards).  The student’s ring is then shipped directly to the student; they pay and pick it up at Canada Post.

Rotary Youth Parliament

Students from Colonel Gray High School recently attended Rotary Youth Parliament.  Participating students include Olivia Corrigan, Thomas Wagner, Claire Chilton, Naomi Ascencio, and Amanda Cheng.   Thank you to the many volunteers and organizations who made this great event possible.

  • Turkey dinner ticket sales will start today at lunch in Ms. Fleming’s office…tickets are $5, please have correct change
  • Graduation portrait appointments are going ahead as scheduled, if you missed it or can not make it, please see the photographer as soon as possible to arrange a new time.
  • Mount Allison University will be visiting Student Services on Tuesday, Nov. 29th at lunch time.
  • AA girls host their first game against Grace Christian today at 5. All forms need to be in before the game.
    Still in need of one scorekeeper, if interested please see Mrs Lindsay at lunch.
  • The next Intramural activity will be speedball, which is a great game similar to ultimate frisbee but with a volleyball. Teams can be submitted to the Phys Ed department, with a minimum of 6 and maximum of 10 players.

  • Turkey dinner ticket sales will start today at lunch in Ms. Fleming’s office…tickets are $5, please have correct change
  • Graduation photos are taking place in the Library conference room, you must be photographed by Lifetouch to be included on the wall composite. Book your appointment today!
  • Any students interested in volunteering with the Special Olympic event on Tuesday are asked to see Mr. MacDonald in room 217 at lunch time.
  • Representatives from the UPEI’s Math and Computer Science Department will be in room 140 at noon today to explain exciting careers and opportunities and  in available in math and computer science. All students are welcome.
  • Colonel Gray is hosting a women’s AAA basketball tournament this weekend. Our girls play at 2 & 4, with tomorrow’s game times depending on the result of those games. Due to the basketball tournament, the gym is closed today.
  • At lunch, the following students are asked to come to a meeting on how to score keep for basketball:

     AA Women’s basketball players need to see Mrs Lindsay to get a permission form to be signed before Monday’s game.

  • Representatives from the UPEI’s Math and Computer Science Department will be in room 140 tomorrow at noon to explain exciting careers and opportunities and in available in math and computer science. All students are welcome.
  • Chess Club today in the Library at lunch.
  • Free the Children meeting today in room 120 at 11:40. All new members are welcome!
  • Good luck to the AAA men’s basketball team as they travel to Halifax today for their first tournament.
     The gym is closed today for yoga, all are welcome.
     We’re still looking for scorekeepers for the games in the tournament this weekend. Please see Mrs. Lindsay or Ms. Currie if interested.
  • Reminder to all band students…tree and wreath orders and unsold tickets are due back by tomorrow. All band students are also asked to confirm their hours for the Craft Fair. Senior Jazz tomorrow morning.
  • Cafeteria specials today are open faced hot chicken, veggies with mashed potatoes, 3 cheese pizza & fries or soup & grilled cheese $5.25 each.

  • Representatives from the UPEI’s Math and Computer Science Department will be in room 140 at noon on Friday to explain exciting careers and opportunities and  in available in math and computer science. All students are welcome
  • The students who signed up for power-lifting and are planning on going to the qualifier need to see Mrs. Lindsay as soon as possible. If unable to attend this qualifier, there will be another in February.
    Any students interested in score-keeping basketball this season please see the PE department. There is a tournament this weekend and next, so lots of opportunities.
  • The championship game for soccer intramurals will be today at lunch. Yoga is postponed until tomorrow at noon.
  • Mr. Foster will be here on Thursday, November 24th in student services from 11:40-12:30 for students who want to complete the Community Services Bursary for the Y’s Men’s Food Drive.
  • The Mumbo Jumbo Street Slang Gang meets today @ 11:45 in Room 215.  All new writers are encouraged to attend.
  • Grade 11 and 12 Art Students and any other interested Fine Arts students – there will be a presentation by a representative from NSCAD – Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in the Art Room at 11:50 on Thursday.  Come and get some advice on preparing a portfolio and info on the programs offered at this college.

  • Soccer intramurals continue today with a semi-final game between Team 2 and Team 4.

  • All students who are coming to the callbacks for “The Little Mermaid” are asked to see Mr. Petrie in room 209 before the end of the day today.
  • Opa! The Culinary Class are selling tickets for a Greek meal on Thursday. Advance tickets available on Monday and Tuesday in the lobby at lunch and room 247.
  • AA girls basketball will have one more try out today at 3:30 until 5:30.
    AAA girls will practice from 3:30-5:30.
    AA boys basketball try outs will go from 5:30-7:30
    AAA boys basketball practice 6:30-8:30
  • The basketball schedule for the rest of the week will be posted in the gym by the end of the day today. All athletes are reminded that they cannot move on to the basketball season without returning fall sports uniforms.

  • Grade 10 band Tuesday morning at 7:40 All band students are reminded this is the last week for tree and wreath sales. All sales must be in by Friday.
  • December is just around the corner and we are finalizing our plans for a turkey dinner at the school.  The format had to change this year, so we will be selling tickets for a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, milk and a cookie for $5.00.  That’s a bargain! The tickets will be on sale from Nov 25 until Dec 6.  You must purchase a ticket in advance of the dinner.  The turkey feast will take place on Thursday, Dec 15.
