  • Students lockers must be cleaned out by end of day today.  The door must be left open with the lock locked on the hasp. Everything must be cleaned out of the locker, there will be a $10 fee charged to your account if your locker is not cleaned out!!
  • Graduates  need to fill in their green June transcript form in Student Services before leaving today.  To date, there are only 103 forms passed in, which is cause for concern.  Don’t be the person panicking in the summer, remembering your forgot to order your final marks.  Universities and colleges are waiting for these at the end of June.
  • For those students interested in taking Peer Helping next year there are  application forms to fill out . Please see Mrs. Profit in the library about them.
  • Also, a reminder to submit a copy of accepted scholarship offers to Student Services.  These are used to recognize students at the graduation ceremony.
  • Yoga today at 11:45 in the Art Room, everyone is welcome!
  • Today is the last day for the cafeteria staff, they will not be here during exams!!!!Wishing the ladies a great summer!!

  • Anyone who would like to get their hair and make-up done for prom at the Colonel Gray Prom Spa please see Ms. Arbing in the Learning Center to make an appointment. This is a free service and everyone is welcome!
  • There is a screening of a documentary created by Mahdi about generation Z in the Lecture Theatre today at 12:00. The screening is free for all who wish to attend.
  • A reminder for graduates to submit the green transcript sheet to Student Services, indicating where final marks need to be sent at the end of June.  Do this before exams begin and then it’s off your mind.  All universities/colleges will require your final June marks.

  • Congratulations to all of our Colonels yesterday: AAA Girls Rugby won the Bronze, AAA Boys Rugby won the silver, AAA Boys Softball won the silver, AAA Girls Softball won the provincial banner.  The athletics banquet is this Friday at 5:00.
  • IF you DIDN’T get a chance to order a grad t-shirt, then it’s your lucky day.  You may place your order before Friday, June 10th at 3:00 p.m. with Mrs. Bradley who is in Room 210.  This is your last ditch chance!!  The cost of the t-shirt is $15.

  • Making Waves Trivia winners last week were; Hailey Morrell, Jamie Coffin and Brent McGuigan.
  • Locker Cleanout, Students must vacate lockers by the end of the day Friday, June 10.  Please read Locker Cleanout Notices placed around the school.
  • A Reminder to all students to return all library books and any English books not required for your final assessment. If you are not sure what you have out, check with Mrs. Profit.
  • The Colonel Gray Athletics banquet is this Friday June 10th at 5 pm.
    Good Luck to our Boys and Girls Softball Teams competing in Provincials today, Good Luck to our Boys and Girls Rugby teams also competing in Provincials today.
  • The Colonel Gray Girls Softball Team plays Montague today at 1:00 at the field next to Charlottetown Rural. If we win that game, we play in the Championship at 3:00.
  • Noah Huskins from IMAC (Island Media Arts Cooperative) will be in the school on Tuesday, June 7 to promote film production.  Anyone interested in producing films is encouraged to attend.  Meeting is at 12 noon in Room 101.

Provincial Track and Field Championships

It was another successful provincial championships for the Colonel Gray Track and Field Team who captured three provincial banners this past weekend at UPEI.   A full list of impressive individual results can be found below.   A big shout out to coaches Mike Peterson, Dale McIssac and Charla Currie for their dedication and support of our outstanding student athletes.

  • Prom tickets will be on sale in the student council office at lunch this week, beginning tomorrow.
  • Prom bracelets will be distributed through Mrs. Profit in the library beginning NEXT WEEK June 13.

Today is Duty Day 5

With two tough losses for our boys A rugby team yesterday the boys finished 4th at Provincials
 Congratulations to our Girls A team who won the Bronze at yesterdays Provincials
 No Colonel Games today
 Monday the Boys Softball team travels to TOSH for Provincials, the Girls Softball team is hosting provincials at Victoria Park games at 4 and 6
Track and Field Provincials are this weekend at UPEI  Friday night and all day Saturday.  Come down to the track and cheer on your Colonels
Come wind down your week with a yoga session in the art room @11:45.  Bring your own mat if possible, but we have some available.  Hosted by Making Waves group.

  • Results from last night:  AAA Girls Rugby lost a tough game to Rural, AAA Boys Rugby defeated the Rural 17-11 and advance to the provincial finals, Today at the Rural, A Girls Rugby Colonels vs. TOSH at 3:00, A boys Rugby Colonels vs. Bluefield at 345.
  • A reminder for graduates to submit in their green transcript sheet to Student Services, indicating where final marks need to be sent at the end of June.  Get this done now and you won’t have to worry about it during exams.
  • Our music dept. final concert is tonight in the gym at 7, all are welcome to hear these students one last time. It should be a great concert, free admission.
  • The Girl’s Softball Team defeated Kinkora 18-1 yesterday in their quarterfinal Softball game yesterday. Top batters were; Jada Yeo who pitched the win and hit a long home run and Ashley McBain, who had a double and a triple.  The girls play Charlottetown Rural on Monday at 4:00 at Victoria Park.
  • Brief meeting for all provincial track and field meet participants at 12:00 tomorrow (Friday) in the Lecture Theatre.
  • Start times and event lists are posted in the gym and Student Services.  See Mr. Peterson if you have any concerns.
  • The Graymies will be tomorrow night 7:30-10:00. This is always one of the best events of the year and a great way to end a fantastic school year.

Be sure to come out and support our Colonel Gray student athletes as they complete their regular seasons and begin their playoffs.   The softball and rugby schedules can be found below.  The provincial track and field championships are being held Friday evening June 3rd and Saturday June 4th at UPEI.  Go Colonels!
