  • Another summer job opportunity is posted on the bulletin board outside Mr. Cox’s Student Service’s office.  This is open for a student between the ages of 15-30 and is with the Association of Rural Community Halls – eight weeks @ 37.5 hours @ $11.50 per hour.
  • A reminder for graduates to submit in their green transcript sheet to Student Services, indicating where final marks need to be sent at the end of June.  Get this done now and you won’t have to worry about it during exams.

Spring Band Concert

The Colonel Gray Spring Band Concert will be held Thursday June 2nd at 7pm.  It is sure to be a great night of music!  The concert demonstrates the hard work and dedication of our band students and their teachers Mr Doiron and Mr Jabbour.  The band would like to thank the Colonel Gray community for their continued support of the band program.

  • Colonel Gray AAA Girls Rugby Playoffs: the girls play Westisle tonight at 6:00pm
  • Mr. Harkness would like to congratulate his Leadership Class for participating in the First May Madness Camping Trip of the 12 who started only 4 finished: Maja Garic, Dylan Vokey, Alex Savident, Sepher Nademi.
    Next Years trip is already in the works…..
  • Applications for summer school are now available in Student Services.

  • Graduates, today is the last day to purchase safe grad t-shirts. If you have any issues, contact Ana Rodriguez or Edna Nino-Esparza, Also, there will be a bake sale today in the lobby.
  • Making Waves Trivia answer winners this week are: Alicia Fleming, Jalisa MacLean and Cassidy Lewis. Congratulations on knowing the Mr. “B” lived in his van for 2 years.
  • Our Making Waves group is having 1/2 hour yoga session today at 12 in the Lecture Theatre, anyone who wants to come by is welcome.

  • The Colonel Gray Girls Softball team defeated The Rural 17-7 yesterday.  Margaret Reynolds pitched the win and top batters were Jada Yeo and Megan Doucette.

  • A representative from the Golf Club Management Program will be in Student Services on Friday from 11:40 until 12:20.   Please drop by and see him if you have any questions about the program.
  • There will be an Envirothon meeting Thursday at 12 noon in Room 139. Anyone interested in competing in the Provincial Envirothon next year should attend.

  • There will be an envirothon meeting Thursday at 12 noon in Room 139. Anyone interested in competing in the Provincial Envirothon next year should attend.
  • Ms Bovaird’s Visual Communication Students are asked to go to regular scheduled class for an update on their photo-shoot.  We are watching the weather to make a decision on this.
  • Grade 10 Art students from first semester are asked to collect their artwork from Ms Bovaird’s classroom, Room 305 this week.  Artwork will not be stored over the summer.
  • Safe Grad will be selling shirts during lunch in the main lobby today and will be having a bake sale tomorrow and Friday.
  • Event lists for tomorrow’s East Regional Track Meet are posted in the gym and in Student Services.  Please see Mr. Peterson right away if you have any concerns.  All participants should be at UPEI no later than 9:15 tomorrow.  See Mr.Peterson if you need a ride or if you haven’t picked up a permission form or uniform.
  • Congratulations to James Tweel, Sami Williams and Jacqueline McQuaid for an excellent performance during the PEI Provincial School Triathlon.

  • Attention grads: all candidates for Valedictorian must see Mrs. Cutcliffe by the end of the day if you want your name on the ballot.
  • Making Waves Trivia winners are: Nour Houdeib, Sara Murphy and Tessa Hood. Check out this week’s message and trivia question.
  • Today is the final day to register for a track and field event.  See Mr. Peterson in Student Services for details.
    All runners and throwers should be at the track today at 4pm.  Throwers are at UPEI tonight at 7pm.
    See Mr. Peterson ASAP for permission forms, uniforms and cleats.
  •  Safe Grad meeting at lunch today in room 213. Safe Grad t-shirts are being sold everyday this week at lunch in the lobby.

  • All runners and jumpers should be at the track today at 4pm. There will also be a practice on Saturday at 6pm.
     See Mr. Peterson if you haven’t been out yet and want to get involved.
  • The deadline to register for a summer class at Holland College Adult Education is this Friday, May 20.  Tuition is $375.  Check out the course offerings on the bulletin board in Student Services.
     Please note, this is not the summer school that is offered by Department of Education.
  • Big win for the Colonel Gray Girl’s Softball Team last night over Montague 11-5, to remain undefeated.  Top batters were Jada Yeo and Emily Waugh with a home run.
