  • Any students interested in representing Colonel Gray at the provincial Envirothon competition should attend a meeting Tuesday May 3 in Room 139 . If unable to attend the meeting contact Ms. Nowe or Mr. Sealy for more details.
  • Reminder of the cake walk today at lunch in the cafeteria, all proceeds to the Eliminate Project.
  • Congratulations go out to the IB Year 12 students who finish high school today and start their exams on Monday.  We wish them well.
  • Little Big Band will rehearse Monday morning.
  • Girls Softball practice is canceled today because of the weather. The final team roster will be posted today outside of Mr. Cox’s office at 11:40 today. The girls are reminded of their 1st league game at 4:30 on Monday at Victoria Park against Morell.
  • Speedball today Semifinal#2 The D Champs vs The Oysters.
  • Cafeteria Specials today are 3 cheese pizza & fries, bacon cheeseburger & fries $5.10, meat pasta bowl or lasagna bowl $3.50.

  • Boys Softball practice Thursday at 4 at City Field
  • Anyone interested in completing some service hours for the Canadian Cancer Society please see Mr. Harkness at lunch today.
  • Speedball today Semifinal #1 Praying Mantis vs The Staff, tomorrow Semifinal #2 The D Champs vs The Oysters.
  • Shot put practice tonight at 7pm.  Newcomers encouraged. Meet at the gym doors. High Jump in the gym tomorrow at 8am.
  • Tonight the Mumbo Jumbo Street Slang Gang will perform at the Receiver Coffee Co. on Victoria Row.  The performance starts promptly at 7:00 and will feature 16 poets from across the Island. Come down for a cup of coffee and some poetry. All performers are required for a quick meeting in the Lecture Theatre at lunch.
  • There will be a cake walk on Thursday at lunch, proceeds will go to the Eliminate Project so come on down and eliminate your hunger at the last cake walk of the year.

  • Graduates are reminded to check the bulletin board inside the door in Student Services for upcoming scholarships.  Many new ones have been posted and added recently – some with a short deadline of May 1st.
  • Making Waves trivia question is on the white board across from the student council office, first 3 correct answers will win a prize.
  • All members of the Mumbo Jumbo Street Slang Gang are required to attend a brief meeting today at 11:45 in the Lecture Theatre. This is a mandatory meeting to plan for tomorrow’s provincial competition.
  • The girls trying out for the school softball team are asked to meet at the gym at 3:30 today.  The practice will not be held at Victoria park.

  • Speedball today The Staff vs The Praying Mantis, Tuesday are Semifinal #1.
  • Boys Softball meeting at lunch in Student Services.
  • Girls softball practice Tuesday from 4:00 to 5:30 at Victoria Park (Kiwanis Ball Diamond).
  • There will be javelin practice tonight at 6:30.  Meet at the gym. High Jump tomorrow morning at 8am in the gym.
     Middle and long distance runners should meet at the gym doors at 3:30 today.
  • A reminder for the period  3 Foods 421 students to meet at the Culinary Institute for 12:10 today. Maps are available at the class if needed.
  • Cafeteria specials today are meat pizza & wedges, chicken fingers & wedges or lasagna with caesar salad $5.10.

  • Congratulations to all the badminton players representing CG at next weeks’ provincials. Remaining, practices are Mon-Wed 3:30-5:30.
  • Mikinduri Children of Hope charity is seeking students on May 5, 6 (no classes) and 7th for a major yard sale fundraiser at the East Link Centre. For more information, please check the bulletin board outside of Mr. Cox’s office in Student Services.  There is a possibility this could count as Community Service Bursary hours.
  • Cafeteria specials today are Chicken burger & fries, 3 cheese pizza  & fries $510 or chicken pasta bowl, chicken pot pie $350.

  • Don’t forget Colonels, Welcoming committee potluck is tomorrow. If you want to be on the executive next year come tomorrow to room 116.
  • The Mumbo Jumbo Street Slang Gang will have final auditions for the provincial poetry slam.  Auditions are today @ 11:45 in the Lecture Theatre.  Any new performers are encouraged to audition.

  • Students traveling to Bridgewater, NS for the IB student conference are reminded to be at school by 8:15 a.m. The bus will leave at 8:30 a.m. with our without you.
  • The Mumbo Jumbo Street Slang Gang meets today for a very important meeting in the Lecture Theatre @ 11:45.  All members wishing to complete in the provincial poetry slam must attend.
  • Mr. B’s English 521 class is reminded of the field trip to the Confederation Art Gallery.  All students are expected to be at the gallery by 12:30.  For those who are walking with the class, we will leave from the gym doors at 12:10.
  • Thursday Chris’ Angels will be facing off against The D Champs, Monday Chris’ Angels vs The Staff.
  • Anyone who is interested in getting involved in track and field, see Mr. Peterson in Student Services.
  • Badminton practices Friday 3:30-5:30, Sunday 9:30-11:30.
  • Any students interested in applying for a St. Dunstan’s University scholarship should see Mr. Peterson immediately in Student Services.  Applications are due at the end of the week.
  • This is an important Message for the 64 grade 12 students who signed up for the U.P.E.I. registration. U.P.E.I. will be here this Thursday night at 6:00 pm in room 103 to help you pick out your courses for next year. If you can’t attend this registration meeting,make sure you see Mr. Cox in Student Services asap
