Rotary Youth Parliament Nov 27th and 28th.

Colonel Gray students Marie Boutonnet, Wilson Sun, Ben Langille, Thomas Madessis and Graeme Zink participated in this years Youth Parliament.  We would like to thank Albert Zakem and the Rotary Club of Charlottetown for organizing this event.   The students also appreciated the participation from speaker Buck Watts and several MLA’s who met with the students over the weekend.

Staff and Students – make this holiday season special for less fortunate children and teens in our community. Please donate new, unwrapped gifts for children, newborn to 18 years old. We are in need of toys, puzzles, arts and crafts, books, educational items, and board games. Drop off your toys to the Big Red Box outside Student Services. All gifts should be in by Dec. 18th. For more information or any questions, please see Maya Garic in Student Services.

  • Today is the last day of the Leadership 621 food drive, we would like to thank everyone who remembered to bring an item in for donation.  Mr. MacEwen’s 421 math class is in the lead with 39 items donated.
  • Attention! If you want to help & support the community there will be a very important welcoming committee meeting in room 116.
  • There will be a short meeting for the Christmas Giving Committee in the Learning Centre at 11:40.
  • Howdy Pardners! Ya’ll better saddle up and mosey down to space disco club today at 11:50 in room 244, featuring special guest Tanju Fernando…all are welcome!

  • A representative from the University Of New Brunswick will be at Student Services today at lunch to meet with the students who have already signed up to meet her. You must sign up before the meeting to attend.
  • The meeting of all members of Free the Children will be next Thursday…not today.
  • All students who are submitting applications for a Rotary exchange next year, should drop them off to Valerie in Student Services by lunch today.
  • Attention all!! There will be a surprise space disco club meeting on Friday at 11;50 in room 244, with special guest Tanuj Fernando.
  • Cafeteria specials today are lasagna, caesar salad & garlic bread, chicken nuggets& fries or meat-lovers pizza $5.10

  • The Philosophy Club meets today in room 141 at 11:45.  All are welcome.  Bring your lunch.
  • Graduation photos have started today, if you have not booked your appointment please see the photographer in the library or Madison McQuaid in the lobby 12:10-12:25.
  • UNB will be holding a lunch and learn session on Thursday.  Interested students should see Mr. Peterson in Student Services.
  • St.F.X University will be offering acceptance on the spot on December 7th.  See Mr. Peterson in Student Services for details.
  • Rotary Exchange applications are due to Mr. Peterson by lunchtime on Thursday.
  • Students interested in applying for the 2016 SHAD Program (running July 3 – 29), should note that the application deadline is Nov. 30th.  Check bulletin board in Student Services for more information.
  • Memorial University will be holding an information session on Thursday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. at  The Holman Grand 123 Grafton Street, Charlottetown.
  • If you would be interested in a rap club there is a sign up sheet posted around the school “Colonel Gray Rhymes”.
  • Band Students are reminded that all tree & wreath order forms and unsold tickets must be in today at the latest
  • Cafeteria specials today are Sweet & Sour chicken, rice & veggies $5.10, Grilled salmon with lemon, potato & veggies $6.50 or grilled cheese sandwich & soup $4.50.

  • Little Big Band will rehearse Thursday at noon.  New music will be given out during this rehearsal.

  • Fudge sale in the band room today at lunch – $2 a sleeve or 3 for $5.
  • Yoga Club today at 11;55 in the Lecture Theatre.

  • There will be a safe grad meeting at lunch in the Lecture Theatre. If you want safe grad this year please attend!
  • Free the children monthly meeting will be Thursday.
  • Jesus at gray will be tomorrow in room 121.
  • The Leadership 621 class will be collecting donations for the food bank during block B this week starting Tuesday.  Any items can be placed in the collection box in your class room and the class who donates the most will win a few pizzas.
  • A reminder to Mr. Peterson’s Political Studies 621 class: make sure you’re on the bus at 1:35 if you need a ride to Rural.
  • UNB will be holding a lunch and learn session on Thursday.  Interested students should see Mr. Peterson in Student Services.
  • Senior jazz today at 4-5, Honor Band tomorrow 3:15 -4, Fudge sale in the band room today at lunch – $2 a sleeve or 3 for $5.

  • The Mumbo Jumbo Street Slang Gang will be performing today in the Lecture Theatre at 11:50.  Come down to see live performance poetry, Cedric rapping, and beat mixing. Yo, Yo, Yo!
