  • Safe Grad Exec Meeting today at 11:45 in Ms. Cummins room.
  • The Charlottetown Y’s Men would like to thank all staff and students for their help during the Food Drive.
  • Charity dodgeball tournament registration in the cafeteria!!
  • Last chance to go to the haunted basement is today at lunch time! Reminder for all those involved, to meet in the basement at 11:30 this morning.
  • Any student, ages 14-17, interested in applying for the Vimy Pilgrimage Award, due Nov. 11th, should check the bulletin board in Student Services.  Winner will get a fully funded, week-long trip to Europe in April,  to study Canada’s tremendous First World War effort.
  • Come on out to the UPEI Music Department’s Haunted House on October 30th and 31st at the UPEI Steel building! This annual event runs from 7:00pm-11:30pm and is only $5 at the door! All proceeds go to music department scholarships and ensembles. Hope to see you there! Happy Halloween!
  • Cafeteria specials today are build your own burger with your choice of side $5 or Fries with the works $5.

  • The games room will be open at noon today. Everyone is welcome to play board and card games in room 238.

  • Early morning badminton practice tomorrow morning.  All players are and grades are welcome.  Speak with Mr. Lowther for more details.

  • The sign up sheet for auditions for Shrek is now posted on the bulletin board outside the music room.  Auditions start Monday, so get out and sign up for a time today.
  • The field hockey team will be playing in the championship game today at 5:30 at UPEI against Rural.
  • The haunted basement  continues today at lunch and tonight at 6:30pm. Reminder for all those involved to meet in the basement at11:30 this morning!

  • Attention, all those students who were Mrs. Sheppard’s Crafts class and Mrs. Covey’s EAL class last year, who took part in the Father’s of Confederation pottery project…. for today and Friday ONLY you can come to the art room to claim your pottery. It is a on a first come, first serve bases. So if you want to get your pottery back, be sure to get there fast!
  • The field hockey team will be playing in the championship game 5:30 at UPEI on Thursday against Rural.
    The team would love all the support they can get!
  • Safe Grad Variety Show sign-up poster outside the Student Union office on the bulletin board.  Get your “ACT” together and get in on the talent show.  Auditions to be  held next week at times and locations to be announced.
  • Ms. Currie’s leadership 801 class will be hosting a charity dodgeball tournament on Nov 4. Cost is $5/player with a $75 prize to the winning team. Registration will be today through next Tuesday at lunch in the cafeteria. See you there Colonels!
  • For students interested in participating in Shrek the musical, in any way, there is an important meeting today at 11:40 in the lecture theatre.
  • The super scary haunted basement is open to public today at lunch and tonight at 6:30-8:00. See you all there!!
  • All actors, guides and admissions people should meet in the basement at 11:30am.
  • Cafeteria specials today meatball sub with your choice of side & veggies $5  hot chicken sandwich with choice of side & veggies $5. Come down to the cafeteria and guess the weight of our pumpkin. The winner will receive a cafeteria special a day for one week.

Free the Children’s Haunted Basement at Colonel Gray this week.

The Colonel Gray Free the Children Club are hosting their Halloween Haunted Basement again this year. The cost is $3.00 per person. The event takes place from 6:30 -8:00 on Wednesday, Oct. 29th and Thursday, Oct. 30th .  All are welcome to enjoy this spooktacular event!

The Colonel Gray field hockey team are battling Charlottetown Rural on Thursday, Oct. 30 , 5:30 at UPEI.  Last year the Colonel Gray team finished the season with a bronze medal.

  • Anyone interested in powerlifting or weight training can see Mr. Toole in the Wellness Center at lunch.
  • University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) will host a parent/student night at the Delta Prince Edward on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.
  • There will be a parent/student information night for anyone interested in learning more about the Rotary International Youth Exchange on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. at Charlottetown Rural.
  • For students interested in participating in Shrek the musical, in any way, there is an important meeting tomorrow at 11:40 in the lecture theatre. For those who can’t make it tomorrow because of the haunted basement, there will be a special meeting today at 11:40 in the lecture theatre.
  • There will be a student council meeting today at lunch in room 139.
  • Colonel Gray clothing is on sale in the cafeteria at lunch all week. Dodgeball jersey order forms can be picked up at the same time and are due back the end of the week.
  • Sign up poster for Safe Grad Variety Show is now posted on the bulletin board outside the Student Council Office.  If you want to audition for the show, sign up your act or group and auditions will take place next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  Deadline for signing up is Monday, November  3rd.
  • Junior Achievement is excited to announce that there will be two after school company programs at Colonel Gray this year. The program times are Monday(Nov 3) at 6:45 p.m. and on Wednesday(Nov5) at 6:45 p.m. Please email Ashley at akenny@japei.org or call 902-892-3966 to let her know which program time you prefer and she will try her best to accommodate you.

  • Colonel Gray clothing can be ordered today and all week at lunch in the cafeteria.
  • Volunteers (staff and students) for the Y’s Mens Food Drive are asked to meet at the staff doors at 5:30pm tonight.
  • Mr. Arseanult’s Co-op work study classes are to meet in the library today at 12:40pm.
  • Our field hockey team plays Montague at 6:00 in Cornwall. Our A boys soccer team plays Morell at 4:00 at Colonel Gray.
  • Free the children haunted basement dress rehearsal today after school, all must attend.
  • Cafeteria specials today, beef & vegetable stir fry on white rice $5.00, hummus & veggie wrap $4.00, soup & biscuit #3.25, 3 cheese pizza $3.00.

  • A rep from Tyndale University ( a Christian University in Toronto) will be in Student Service Monday morning at 9.00.
  • Wrestling club is now underway 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 5:30 – 7:30 in the cafeteria… all are welcome!!!
  • Mosiac Club potluck is today in room 116!! All are welcome.
  • Very important Haunted Basement meeting after school today! We will be attempting a run-through (no costumes required)
  • The first ever Colonel Gray knitting Club meeting is taking place in room 144 (Mrs. Costello’s room) today AND EVERY FRIDAY AT LUNCH.  Come check it out!
  • GREAT JOB by the badminton club this morning!!!  Especially our new members this morning.
  • If you are looking for volunteer experience The Heart and Stroke foundation is looking for you. Check in Student Services for more info.
  • Gay Straight Alliance today in room 151, everyone is welcome.

  • A rep from Queen’s University will be Student Services today from 3.00 – 3.30.
  • Games Room will be open today room 238.
  • If you are interested in being a House of Commons Page in Ottawa next year, check in Student Services for information.
  • For anyone considering participating in any way in this year’s musical, Shrek, there will be a meeting on Wednesday (Oct. 29) at 11:40 in the lecture theatre.  Bring your lunch.
  • Reminder of the important Slam Poetry Club meeting today at 11:50 in Room 215.  Meetings will now be held each Thursday.
  • Early morning badminton tomorrow.  Please see Mr. Lowther for more information.
  • Volunteers needed for the Food Drive Monday from 5:30-7:30pm, please meet at the teachers doors. There is a sign up sheet in Mrs. Lee’s room 140.
