Anyone interested in being part of the Colonel Gray 2014-15 Safe Grad Executive, please submit a letter of application to either Ms. Cummins or Ms. Bradley before 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5th. In the letter please indicate any other extra-curricular activities/committees you are involved with and why you would make a strong candidate for this executive.

Volunteers are needed for 1 hour a day at Confederation Centre to help seniors improve their computer skills. Details available in Student Services.
- The GSA will be hosting a bake sale today at lunch time in the lobby.
- All band students are asked to remind their parents of the Band Parent meeting tonight at 7pm in the band room.
2nd jazz/little big band meeting at 11:45 today for 5 minutes.
- Cafeteria Special today is chicken quesadilla choice of side $5.00 or Pepperoni Pizza with choice of side $5.00. Don’t forget our delicious turkey dinner on Thursday!!
- You can help Glen Stewart Primary win a competition with Parkside Elementary in Summerside. The winner will receive $10,000 in books from Indigo. Support Glenn Stewart by going to http://www.adoptaschool.indigo.ca/eng/schools/1068 and vote everyday til Oct. 5.

Any grade 12 student who might be applying to the visual arts program in the near future. If you want to learn more about how to begin preparing for your portfolio, please see Mrs. Sheppard today, in the art room at lunch for a brief meeting.

All golfers on the Colonel Gray Golf team are asked to meet at Student Services today at 11:40. Our Boys and Girl’s teams play today at Fox Meadow.
- Archery Club will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays at 3:30 in the cafeteria. New members welcome anytime.
- Female students needed for a “Worry, Stress & Anxiety Group” meeting on Wednesday at lunch in room 137. Please see Bethany Toombs (counsellor) or Katie Lezeu (student nurse) to sign up before Wednesday.
- The Terry Fox Run was a HUGE success again at Colonel Gray! Thanks to all the teachers and students for your support. Students, please turn any outstanding sheets or pledges into your teacher by tomorrow.

The 2nd annual Battle at Brookvale Cross Country Races will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27 10:30-1:30. All are invited to come out and cheer on your favourite cross country runners.

- If you want to know more about UNB, there will be a rep in Student Services today during lunch time.
- Free the children meeting at lunch in the Lecture Theatre, room leaders and room themes for Haunted Basement will be assigned. All are welcome!
- All Mosiac members who are interested in playing tennis, there will be a meeting today at lunch in room 116.
- Last night was a big one for Colonel Gray as our boys volleyball team upset the defending provincial champs Westisle pulling off an exciting 26-24 win in the forth game to win 3 games to 1: our girls volleyball team rallied back from two sets down, winning 16-14 in the 5th set. Our women’s A soccer team had an impressive showing shutting out Evangeline 4-0: Our A boys soccer team also beat Evangeline by 4 goals winning 6-2.
Our women’s field hockey team gave Rural all they could handle avenging an early season lob sided loss, losing 2-1.

We have two teams traveling out of province this weekend. Good luck to our women’s AAA soccer team in Antigonish and to our boys volleyball team in Truro!

Good luck to our golf teams as they have their first provincial qualifier today.
- The men’s A soccer team won their game last night 6-2 against Evangeline, Deepak Khanal scored 2 goals and Nathan Leclair, Ron Weeks, Hussam Alzoubi and Liam Apars scored one each. Next game will be tomorrow at 4:30. Please meet at the school at 3:30 for our first home game of the season.

- There will be a quick meeting for all the members of the Colonel Gray Golf Team today at 11:40 at Student Services.
- A rep from UNB will be in Student Services today to discuss their university programs.
- The City of Charlottetown is hosting a Celebration of Youth on Sept. 26 and 27. There are a wide range of activities, sports, and entertainment prepared. More info is in the web announcements.
- Archery Club begins today at 3:30 in the cafeteria, new shooters are welcome!
- Soccer intramurals today the Staff Snipers are playing Team Chaos? Also that the rest of the schedule will be posted by the end of the day today in the gym.
- Grade 11 & 12 band practice at 7:45. Little Big band sign up in the band room.

Meeting today for the Terry Fox Committee in room 139 at 11:40 today. All members must attend. Students and teachers, please raise as much money as you can this week and participate in the run/ walk on Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Also, please return your pledge sheets to your Block D teachers by Thursday.
- Gay Straight Alliance GSA meeting today in room 151 at 11:45 all are welcome!
- Boys AAA baseball team lost a few games on the weekend. John Arsenault, Elijah Hood, John Savidant and Ryne MacIsaac all pitched well. Practice today with Mr. Ready at City Field at 3:30.
- A UNB rep will be in Student Services during lunch time on Thursday.
- Canadian Forces Reserves will be at the school with a student information display table today at lunch time.
- Cafeteria Special today Sweet & Sour Chicken on rice with veggies $5.00 or Build your own burger with choice of side $5.00.

The indoor intramural soccer league starts on Monday with the Ducks taking on the Goats.
Tuesday the intramural volleyball league tips off with the Staff Snipers vs. Marple Bys and the Ducks vs. the Smashers.
A full schedule will be posted on the gym bulletin board.
Good luck to our AAA boys and girls soccer teams in their games against Rural tonight at UPEI. The girls play at 4:00 while the boys play at 6:00.
Good luck as well to our boys baseball team in their games against Bluefield, Morell and Montague this weekend, they start their season tonight vs. Bluefield at City at 6:00.
- There will be a boys A Soccer meeting today in room 214 at 12:00.

Today is the last day to sign up for intramural soccer and volleyball. Get your team together and sign up on the bulletin board in the gym.
Good luck to our AAA boys and girls and A girls soccer teams in their season opening games today. The AAA boys play Westisle at 5:00 at Simmons, the AAA girls play Westisle at 5:30 at the Cornwall turf, the A girls play in Montague. Come on out and show your support!
Our women’s field hockey team has high hopes of bringing their record to 500 as they travel to Montague today. Good luck girls!!!
